Lovely place. High ceilings. Old feel.

Only downside was you need to order breakfast the night before and so we got stuck with the English breakfast.

Good tea. Owner nice. Facilities very good and staff friendly

We had this hotel proposed to us as part of a boutique hotel arrangement. It is more of a guesthouse in my opinion than it is a boutique hotel but our room was clean, cool and spacious. It is an oasis in what seems to be one gigantic traffic jam, called Colombo. If the cook is not around, getting dinner is quite a challenge in the neighbourhood, but when he is there, his meals are delicious. It is the first place we stay at on Sri Lanka Trip so a bit hard to compare to other lodgings but we are happy with this place.

Just the best thing. We came for a month and once we'd arrived we were so tired and felt lucky. This place is the bees knees. Tranquil, beautifully looked after. Nandana and Bodhi made us feel like kings. I don't do cricket but I think I now love Dilshan.

Room tip: You really need one of the three rooms next to the pool.

Well what a find! Although only a few metres from the busy roads of Colombo, aside from the occasional car horn, no traffic noise whatsoever. A small personal hotel where you are treated as a friend rather than a guest! We were the only ones staying which made the experience even more amazing. Our room, Sweeper Cover, is excellent. Spacious, clean and quiet. The bed extremely comfortable. Safe and fridge in the room. The pool area is a treat to behold, surrounded on three sides by colonial style verandah and again clean and quiet, with beautifully warm water. We ate in the restaurant...which is actually three tables under the verandah...it felt like someone’s house rather than a hotel. The food is excellent and plentiful, and served with meticulous care, having been cooked from scratch. There are not many eateries in the area if you want to eat out. You would need to head back towards Colombo to do so. Although a little way out of the main part of Colombo the ride into town is an experience which you would miss if you stay in the heart of the city. We can not fault this hotel....we are so lucky we stumbled across it when researching our holiday. We are fearing we may have set the bench mark very high for the rest of the hotels we are due to stay in!
Ditch the big, soulless corporate hotels and book D Pavilion! Especially if you are a cricket fan....owned by one of Sri Lanka’s most loved cricketers!

Stayed at this very pleasant boutique hotel for couple of days in Dec which, is owned by the retired International Cricketer Tillekaratne Dilshan. Not many guests in the Hotel at the time so was not busy. We were treated very well by the Manager Jit and his staff and our stay was pleasing and relaxing. As usual the Sri Lankan hospitality was welcoming and warm and always will do their best to please.

Had the opportunity to briefly meet the owner and his wife for a quick chat and he was such a humble and pleasant gentleman. For sure will return here again when in Colombo .

Regards to Jit & his team at D Pavillion.

Roy also cricket fan from the UK
