Villa Sphendone came as a wonderful surprise as it exceeds all my expectations. My room was spacious with a romantic comfortable four-poster bed and a huge toilet with a jazuzzi. Breakfast spread was a total delight with different kinds of jam and cheese, bread, omelette and freshly brewed coffee. Deniz is a walking tourist information centre and a most attentive host. He gave me precise tips on where, when and how to visit places in Istanbul. Another bonus is the hotel location. It’s just a few minutes’ walk away from all the famous attractions of Istanbul such as The Hippodrome, The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc. I was pampered by the hotel staff and definitely will make Villa Sphendone my home when I visit Istanbul again. Thank you Deniz. You have indeed made my stay in Istanbul a fabulous and memorable one.

Mr. Deniz Tufekci and his staff are lovely people. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much, we felt at home in a big and crowded city. The rooms were well equipped and cleaned well daily. We appreciated very much the fresh fruit and omelet in the morning.

We stayed at Villa Sphendone Suites for two nights in July 2010. We have two children age 10 and 7. We received a fantastic friendly welcome from Deniz who gave us loads of information about all the sites to see in Istanbul (including a DVD presentation). He supplied us with a map and directions to transport and good restaurants. He was fantastic with the children and even taught them to count in Turkish!!
The appartment consisted of one room with a beautiful 4 poster bed for us and a sofa bed for the children. The room was clean and the bathroom had a nice jacuzzi bath. The furniture was traditional Ottoman style.
The appartment was perfectly situated for all the most famous attractions but was quiet enough to get a perfect nights sleep after some sight-seeing. We would recommend it to anyone and if we return to Istanbul we will definitely stay there again.

Location is great (very close to Blue Mosque).
Extremely clean and with very cooperative staff.
The host (Mr. Denis) is particularly kind: it is a pleasure to discuss with him about Anatolian and Ottoman history as well as about contemporary Turkey.
Definitely a must-be experience. Highly recommendable
