I stayed with my husband at Sirkeci Park Hotel for 10 days in the month of May. Originally we planned to tour the Western part of the country and only stay a few days in Istanbul, but we changed our plans as we decided to relax and enjoy this wonderful city - and what a city! It offer the best combination of culture, sights, food and everyday experiences. Best of all, the prices for the hotel rooms are affordable (the city and especially the hotels proved to be very expensive).

The hotel is well located, only a short walk (up a hill however) from the main sights. We had a room that gave on the street - it was of a decent size but I would not call it big. A benefit is that the hotel is located in a very quiet street - the daily prayers are not very loud. The rooms are extremely clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast in the morning had a lot of options: bread, eggs, tomatoes, cakes, oranges, olives, coffee, tea, cereal, milk, cookies, etc...

All of the staff at Sirkici Park hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Batu who was in charge of the breakfast morning buffet and Serif at the reception (who helped with the booking). Both were very helpful and charming.

In conclusion - great location, close to the sights, clean, and helpfull + friendly staff.

We stayed in this hotel alternatively as we did not like our previous one because of it's neighbourhood. How lucky we were! It is located just 4-5 mins from main 'attractions' like Yerebatan Sarayi, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Rooms were in fact quite small, but it is very common in this area. Extremely clean! Staff very helpful and friendly, very caring about your needs. You got free internet and parking just by the hotel. If you need they can offer you an airport service.

The Sirkeci Park Hotel was a very pleasant experience. The location was terrific--one block from a tram stop (making it easy to get to/from the airport) and less than 10 minutes walk from all of the main sights in Sultanahmet-- Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and the underground Cistern. The room was very small, but fine for our needs. If you have a lot of luggage it would definitely be tight. The breakfast buffet was actually pretty good, I'd say, although it was exactly the same thing every day. Overall, it was an excellent value for the money.

This hotel is recommended for all of course depending on what you want. This is our experience. In this part of Istanbul have many hotels but some of these hotels, you can brighten or ruin your stay in Istanbul. Explain why. In this hotel I was staying with a friend in November 2009, when was is Kurban Bajram.
We stay one evening in another hotel Old City Viva and was is dirty and tricked us because the rooms are not exactly like in a picture on the internet, the rooms are mosquitoes. Terrible!!! Never, never again!!
We visited another hotel here Hotel Agan it was good but did not like the staff because they are too aggressive and no distance towards guests .
In Sirkeci Park hotel we found what we wanted to stay in Istanbul. Good the location, quiet, clean, no problems, not expensive. The rooms are very small, but very clean and breakfast is the ok, turkish breakfast, ve liked. And we very liked the friendly and professional relationship staff to guests. With to help of Mehmet, Emre and Mesud as well as others we have in the hotel feel like at our home. They were there at any time for necessary assistance as well as pleasant conversation. When we come again to Istanbul our choice will definitely be back in this hotel and recommend it our friends . We are happy we found this hotel and so convenient to spend our stay in Instanbul.

First of all, the positives. You couldn't get a better hotel for cleanliness, location and friendliness of staff. We stayed in a 'budget' double room which was small but not claustrophobic. The view looked out at the back of the hotel onto a back street but was not unpleasant.

The hotel was only two minutes walking to topkapi palace and five minutes from Aya SOphia and SUltanAhmet mosque. It is located in a very touristy area within easy walking distance of any local transport you may need.

The negatives are that there was no swimming pool, turkish bath, bar, restaurant or views over gulhane park as advertised on the website. In fact some of the photos on the site seemed to be of a different hotel altogether.

ANother downside was the noise of the generator kicking in at the predictable electricity failure common to Turkey.

Breakfast was basic but ample and typically Turkish, so don't expect any fry ups. There was no choice of hot food although randomly one day we were brought some fried egg. Just the once though.

If you can get this hotel at a good price then I would certainly recommend staying here simply for the excellent location, however, I would certainly not pay the asking price on the website.
