Of my 5 times in Istanbul, 3 were at Agora. No regrets in any of them. Close to Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Underground Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Hipodrome and to tram station. Affordable prices. Breakfast included. Complimentary tea and instant coffee available. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooftop with great view, perfect place to start and finish my days in Istanbul.

Room Tip: Big mixed room downstairs is close to the bathrooms, so more chances of being noisy.

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. The location, next to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia is perfect. The dorm beds are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, they helped me a lot with recommendations, printing etc. The moment you come they give you a cute map/welcome note - which makes the experience so much personal right from the start. Theres lot for breakfast on the rooftop cafe which has nice views of the sea. Loved it and will stay again :)

Though there might be not be enough bathrooms/toilets during the high season.

Room Tip: Choose the basement dorm to be on the same floor as the toilets

I stayed for 6 nights in a double room with bath (staying solo). I was given a choice of rooms when I checked in. The property is kept very clean and the room was also clean and had a good number of places to put all my stuff. There was a long 3 shelf book stand which was perfect for putting all my purchases and literature for the trip. Breakfast was decent with mostly cold food. Sometimes they would run out of the hard boiled eggs or the cold cuts, but there was always cereal and juice available. Note that they also sell bottled water, which is cheaper and more convenient than going to the store to buy it.

I loved that my room had air conditioning. Because of mosquitoes and the call of the muezzin, I kept my windows closed all the time. Having the a/c was really helpful to keep me cool and the air from being stale.

Note that the property is split between hotel type rooms upstairs and a hostel downstairs. You'll be with various type of clients, but everyone was nice. All the people I interacted with at the front desk were exceptionally helpful and nice.

The location is fantastic to getting to the main historical sites (blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, hippodrome, etc.). They're all about a 3 block walk away.

My boyfriend and I had booked accommodation elsewhere and had ditched it (it was hellishly sketchy) and we're glad to find Agora. Immediately we could tell it was a good, clean hostel and the receptionist was extremely helpful.

Our private room was very large for the price with an ensuite and very clean. We loved staying here and it was such a relief after the cafuffle at the other place. We were given a hand drawn map with loads of helpful tips (the best being to avoid taxis as they are very tricksy - if only we'd known earlier).

The location was ideal, located in the centre of sultanahmet surrounded by shops and restaurants and museums!

Overall would highly recommend the hostel.

Good place, good food, good location! People were very friendly and helpful! Clean and organized!
I went with a friend who was there before, and I will be using again in the future! Really suggest for the ones with small budget! But also has options for single or couples rooms!
