Everything that is written about this hotel is true. Amazing staff, always ready to help you out. Fantastic location right in the middle of the old town. A nice room, good Ben and a super breakfast. Just go there and you will not be disappointed.

We were 2 couples traveling together and selected Hotel Amira based on other TA reviews! The service was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Our friends had one of the penthouse rooms with its own balcony which we used for afternoon drinks as it had views out over the sea of Marmaris- so that is a good option. Our room was one down and had a Juliet balcony and was well appointed and very comfortable.
The roof top terrace is excellent but be careful- the hotel charges drinks in euro so this makes it an expensive option if you settle down for a few drinks - eg 10 euro for a gin and tonic.
The breakfast , particular the freshly made gozleme’s was a pleasant surprise and greatly exceeded our expectations- they serve excellent coffees as well.
We arranged a tour of Gallipoli through the hotel and that was fairly priced and a must do!
The information provided to us in our original “briefing “ was excellent and we had complimentary welcome drinks. Also very useful are the cautions provided by the hotel staff.
The hotel is excellently located. All in all this hotel and the staff in particular exceeded our expectations!

We selected Hotel Amira based on its location and great Trip Advisor reviews. Our stay far exceeded my high expectations. Every one of the staff we encountered was friendly and they went out of their way to be helpful. They made us feel right at home. Our room was lovely and quiet. We enjoyed the roof top terrace every night after sightseeing, and the staff recommended wonderful local restaurants every night for us (and warned us about not-so-great restaurants). A nice surprise was the extensive breakfast that included traditional Turkish flatbread cooked fresh in front of us every morning. When we return to Istanbul, we will most certainly stay at Hotel Amira again.

Room tip: Our room on the third floor was very quite and comfortable.

We were treated like royalty at this hotel from the moment we arrived, and I was so sad to leave!

If you want to make the most of your stay in Istanbul you should make this hotel your base as it is conveniently located in the heart of all the action in this amazing city.

Main Reasons why I loved this place:

- buffet breakfast included hot and cold options and was really yummy
- waiter at breakfast was so friendly and always commented every morning how “it is a beautiful day in Istanbul”!
- Adam was always willing to give us tips and advice. He can brighten up your day with his happy demeanor
- front desk staff extremely professional, friendly and helpful
- beautiful furnishings and the look and feel of the interior is lovely
- highlight: a Turkish “Aunty” making Flatbreads at breakfast with a big smile on her face! Just like my granny back home in South Africa

Do yourself a favor to guarantee a great holiday and just stay at Amira

Thankyou very much to all the staff at the terrific hotel Amira . We really enjoyed the attention to detail and comfort of this amazing hotel . We would highly recommend anyone looking for a non sterile type family run hotel where customer service and position is very important . We believe we made the right choice for our last two nights in Istanbul and would definitely return . The room we had was spacious with a lovely bed and pillows and we heard no outside noise at all. The breakfasts were great with gozlemes made to order and plenty of other super choices. Good coffee can be hard to find in Istanbul if you are looking for filter or pod but they excelled . Special Thankyou for my birthday surprise of fondue strawberries . Also to staff for assisting us before arrival and in the return of our rental car. Cannot rate highly enough . Excellent .
