We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. It is an old wooden house converted to a hotel. The rooms are charming with comfortable beds. The breakfast was outstanding on a rooftop terrace overlooking the Golden Horn. We especially enjoyed our conversations with the hotel staff who were uniformly friendly, funny sand very helpful. We will definitely keep this hotel in mind for our next visit to Istanbul.

I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel in the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul. The accommodations, location, and staff were all incredible. The hotel is located about three blocks south of the Ayasofia, and is even closer to one of two entrances to Topkapi. Gulhanne Park and most major tourist attractions are in quick walking distance. Two rows of restaurants are just around the corner, including several Turkish, Chinese, fresh seafood, and Korean places. There are two tram stops nearby as well: Sultanahmet and Gulhanne. From there, you can get to the Dolmbache, Pera, Begolyu, and Galata areas rather quickly and inexpensively--they're like Istanbul's "Brooklyn". A yellow taxi service is located only a block away, too, and the Bosphorous tour boats were one tram station away from Gulhanne. The hotel's view of the Bosphorous--including views of the Sea of Marmara, Adalar (Princes' Islands), Uskadar, and the Dardanelles in the distance--was equally breathtaking each morning. I highly recommend opting for the hotel's breakfast--you wont be able to beat the spread for its price. The rooms come with complimentary tea and coffee, and your minibar is stocked with a local pilsner, sodas, and waters. Most importantly, the staff were the friendliest and most accessible hotel staff I have encountered in my trips abroad. They were always helpful. Even though I traveled solo, this hotel is perfect for couples as well as families.

Cetin Demir (the manager) welcomed my daughter and I with open arms and a big smile. He was so helpful in giving instructions and maps to the local sites and attractions. This small hotel is huge on service, cleanliness and Turkish Breakfast! We stayed in a third floor room with ocean views. It felt like home! Much nicer and more intimate feel than the large hotels. Well appointed rooms are comfortable and ours was a good size. Cetin went out of his way to look after us and insure we had a wonderful 10 days in Turkey.

Room tip: Third floor with ocean view! Terrific, quiet and even in the hot weather we had windows open to enjoy the cool evening air.

My husband and I stayed in Esans Hotel from 24th-26th of June 2016 and we loved it. Hotel staff was very kind and made sure we felt at home. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. We were given a map and every essential tip/guidance required.

Hotel was walking distance from all major tourist attractions which was a bliss. As its a boutique hotel they serve freshly made healthy breakfast daily with spread ranging from fresh fruits to mouth-watering desserts!

I would definitely stay here again. Thank you guys for making our stay a memorable one :)
