Sah Apart Otel has an excellent location. It is only a minute or two walk to the Hippodrome, and not much longer to Sultanahmet Square. These are really studio apartments, rather than hotel rooms, and are spacious with facilities to make or reheat meals. The biggest downside to this establishment is that it is right next door to a school. The kids are outside playing around 9 AM or so on weekdays, and are very loud. If your are a very early riser, this might be okay. For us, after the early call to prayer we did not want screaming children at recess making it difficult to finish sleeping. The manager, Necati, is a very nice fellow, and we enjoyed speaking with him. Once again, be forewarned that this is more of an apartment than a hotel. Management is not on premises at all on Sundays.

The SAH Otel Apartments were just ideal for our 5 day stay in Istanbul.

Located centrally in Sultanahmet within 75m of the Hippodrome/Blue Mosque, a 3 minute walk to the tramway, a 5 minute walk to the esplanade and surrounded by a wonderful collection of restaurants, cafes and shops, the SAH was a good choice for us. Also being in a busy tourist precinct we had no issues about safety at any time of day or night.

This family run apartment complex has three rooms, each occupying a floor above the family's carpet business (from which they don't attempt to sell you anything...ever) with a wonderful large 24 hour terrace on the top floor offering panoramic views of Istanbul.

The rooms are very large (our’s having a double and single bed), a kitchen area, dining table, fridge, and separate bathroom. Presented immaculately, the rooms were cleaned thoroughly each day when we were out. The owners were always extremely friendly, helpful and generally went out of their way to assist, greeting us warmly when we were going out and repeating the same when we returned - but only if they had interpreted that is what we wanted. They even took care of our laundry when we enquired about local laundromats. Great service!

There is a huge range of hotels and apartments in Istanbul. Some flashier and more expensive, some less fashionable and cheaper. For the price we paid, this quality hotel offers exceptional value for a stay in Istanbul in our opinion. Staying in an establishment where the people who run/manage the facility are the owners and have a vested interest in who and what you are is refreshing.

Recommended highly!

The apartment is very clean and spacious - it is one big room with separate modern bathroom. The location is excellent as you can walk to the Square, Blue Mosque, Hagai Sophia,The Grand Bazaar and we also walked to Topkapi palace. In fact we walked to every attraction except the Galata Tower. Public Transport is great we used the trams and paid 2 Turkish Lira for a single ticket. There are cheap restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Ny Husband went to the Turkish Baths which he didn't think was worth the 60 turkish lira. Youwill hear the Call to Prayer at 5am each morning, although I did sleep through it after 2 days. You do hear this all over Istanbul.

We also enjoyed a Turkish breakfast on the terrace with great views. Ahmet the man who owns the carpet shop underneath is a lovely man and very obliging. He and his brother Necati will do everything they can to help you have a great holiday.
If we visit Istanbul we wll stay here again.

This apartment is situate just in heart of Sultan Ahmet and you can reach every thing just by walk. the area is really safe, so you can came back home in midnight!
Just by 5min walk you can reach the tramway and enjoy all other parts of Istanbul as soon and as chip as possible! We stay there for one week and just walk and use tramway and metro easily.
Inside the rooms: it's really clean and you feel your home. The kitchen is equip very good with useful stuffs such as electric water boiler, toaster, pot and colorful plates!
We were 5 friends went there, and the kind owner prepare all we need in just one room. In fact they are so kind and friendly.

Room Tip: There is no elevator for whom have problem to go upstairs.

The apartments are very central, in a quiet side street near the Blue Mosque, within easy walking distance of a tram stop. Large room with traditional furniture and ample storage, a well-equipped kitchen, and bathroom with a power shower. Lovely breakfast with hot and cold food, also suitable for vegetarians, served in the roof terrace on the 4th floor. Owners always very pleasant and could not have been more helpful. They recommended a good traditional restaurant and hammam. Very clean and comfortable and good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
