i stayed for a few days there and I can't say enough good things about the Hotel stuff!
Thank you a million for showing us the real hospitality of Turkish people. We felt really spoilt and had an answer to any question we had, before we even thought about it. A special thanks to reception Selcuk who made us feel better than at home.
The Hotel is perfectly situated, near most of the must see attractions. Aghia Sofia, Blue Mosque, the Basilica, Top Kapi. You name it, it's all less than 15 minutes away
Breakfast buffet is superb and has a nice variety
The rooms are spacious and clean
All in all totally recommended!

The Hotel extended great hospitality from day one! Very friendly and helpful staff members from Tuncay the General manager, Nesrin the general cordinator and Selbuk at the reception and all the other staff at the hotel - all extremely helpful!

Rooms were spacious and clean

The hotel is very central with some great attractions within a walking distance........

On the overall we enjoyed our stay at Albatros and would highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: The suite with the Jacuzzi was amazing!

I stayed at Albatros Premier during my visit to Turkey an this hotel is very near to attractions one should not miss while in Istanbul, like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofya, the Hippodrome, and many others. A mere 10 minutes walk can get you into those attractions form this hotel. The rooms are not bad as well. I took a triple room since we are a family of three and it was not the biggest, but as I said it was clean and a good place to come back to after a hectic day of sightseeing. The breakfast was not all that lavish, but it was enough, and the staff were very friendly and helpful too.

We stayed here for 5 nights at Easter 2012 and were very impressed. Quite easy to find from the Sultanahmet tram stop, room was excellent with comfortable double bed, very good bathroom and shower, air conditioning, and kettle with supply of tea & coffee. There was free use of the safe in the room for valuables. On the advice of the Lonely Planet guide we took a universal sink plug, which is needed in the bathroom for shaving.
Staff were all very helpful and friendly, most of them spoke good English. Wide range of food at breakfast, cereals, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, meats & cheese, olives, pasta salad, several different breads & pastries. Had a good meal in the Terrace Restaurant the first evening.
The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, and a little farther from the Hagia Sophia (Ayasofia) Museum, Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. Tram stop is handy to go to the port at Eminonu for Bosphorus Cruises or ferry crossings, and the tram also goes over the Galata Bridge to Karakoy for modern Istanbul, Taksim Square etc. Note that some of the attractions are closed on Mondays.
Just round the corner from the hotel are numerous bars, restaurants and cafes, with a wide range of dishes. For a nightcap we recommend a raki at the Hippodrome bar on Kucuk Aya Sofya Cad, or tea and snacks at the Cafe Mesale in the Arasta Bazaar behind the Blue Mosque, where they have whirling dervish displays.

It was difficult from begining to choose one hotel in Istambul as there are so many, but after one week in Hotel Albatros it feels that we made the rigth choice. We think all personal was very friendly, helpfull and very pleasant. Good breakfast, fresh and varied. No complaints about the cleanning as well. We don't want to seem unfair to the others emplyees, because they were very good professionals as well but we would like to point out two persons of the staff wich we had more regular contact with, Mr. Seluk and Mr Kenan at the reception desk. We also don't forget the efforts that nigth shift staff made to please us with the transmission of one Champions League footboll game. Once again thank you very much for your kindness and professionalism. We definetely recomended this hotel to our friends. See you next time.

Most probably this is a family run hotel. My first night was a total disaster. My room was next to terrace restaurant. İt was very loud until almost midnight. İ have made a complain to the reception but they said that crowd was the owner of the hotel and his friends. İ had to change my room in the middle of night. This was very disturbing. Customers at this hotel are less important the The owner of the hotel. İf this alltitude goes on İ âm afraid The owner Will enjoy The hotel alone with his family and friends. İ would not recommend this hotel at all.
