What a beautiful and elegant hotel in this amazing city full of wonders! From the moment I walked into the Shangri-La, the feeling was beyond luxurious. From promptly being helped with our luggage, to being offered a cold drink while waiting to check in, the service level was second to none. We were also greeted by Ms. Zuhal who met us upon arrival to ensure we would have a lovely stay - it was a very nice touch. We were checked into a large and bright suite overlooking the beautiful and historic Bosphorus and welcomed to Istanbul with a beautiful fruit bowl and some cold water in the room. The hotel is well located and close to many sights and dining options in the Bosporus area. It is also next to both the Dolmabahce Palace and the Naval Museum, both great options to check out in the area. The hotel has some great dining options onsite and the breakfast buffet has an amazing spread of options to choose from. We dined at the hotel for a lunch and a dinner and both were amazing! They were also holding themed high tea, where the tea lobby is decorated into a theme and all food and deserts served go along with this theme. In May, they has a Star Wars theme and it was truly impressive! Kudos for the baker and the chef because their skill was out of this world! Another highlight to mention is there gym and spa. I was very impressed with both facilities and very happy to see they had a separate room in the gym for personal pilates with a reformer machine. This is the only hotel where I have ever seen this and I had a great workout every day. The spa is also wonderful with a vast lounge and change room area and a large hamam. I would highly recommend visiting the spa for a service, the staff are very professional and the services are wonderful.

Overall I would highly recommend the Shangri-La for an incredible stay in beautiful Istanbul. I cannot wait to get back one day and I would love to return to Shangri-La.
