We booked an economy double room and the overall experience was negative. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet bowl hadn't been cleaned for ages. There was no hot water in the night and the following morning and the shower cubicle wouldn't drain. We spoke to other guests and this appeared to be a common occurrence. The mixed grill dinner was overpriced. Since we didn't consume that free breakfast, I cannot comment on that. The owner, who was multi-tasking as the manager and the cook, didn't appear to be concerned. He did offer us a refund and a free upgrade to a better room. We checked out after one night and moved to Bella Hotel - which was similarly priced but much better.

Room Tip: We had a bad experience with an economy room.

Suleyman is a great and helpful host. The location of the hotel is great. Right next to Isa bey mosque and basilica St John. Just a few minutes walk to Selcuk bus station. Internet works well. The room/bathroom can be cleaner. The rooftop has great view. They were doing renovations on the rooftop so we couldn't have breakfast there but the breakfast food is nice anyway. Would definitely stay there again if I have the opportunity to go to Ephesus again..

We spent a relaxing two nights at Rebetika Hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We walked to Efes (about 3kms) but the hotel offered us transport to Efes and Virgin Mary church in Selcuk. We walked into Selcuk of an evening where there was many restaurants to chose from

If you are staying in Selcuk, stay here. The BEST part is the staff, they do so much more than check you in. If you are lucky enough to meet Suleymon, definitely take any advice he gives you. He found us a wonderful lunch spot pre-Ephesus, and took care of our friend who came down with a cold, making sure she got dinner in her room. We felt like we had our own personal tour guide the whole time. He even made sure we got the right train, on time, when it was time to leave.

The second best part is the great rooftop for breakfast or hanging out at the end of the day with a glass of wine and enjoying the view. You can walk to anywhere in Selcuk from this place. Also, make sure you check out the rug shop down the street.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Beautiful terrace with awesome view- super breakfast! The best assistance we received on our trip with respect to seeking out local excursions for us to explore, to arranging special tours, next stop accommodations, great evening discussions on the terrace on every topic imaginable! We loved the time we spent in Selcuk and surrounding areas, all made extra enjoyable with assistance from Ibo. Would go back in a flash!
