Overall, this is a great place to have a holiday if you have kids. It is a family-orientated resort. The rooms are very good. There are five in my family and so it was important that there was a decent amount of bedroom space. This wasn't a problem and the rooms are well equipped. There is a safe in the room but you need to hire this at Reception. They will provide you with the special key to operate the safe for approx 20 Turkish Lira. A small deposit is required for the key and refunded on its return.
There is a mini bar in the rooms but this is expensive.
A free 1.5L bottle of water was provided on each day that we were there.
The rooms are stocked with towels. Towels for the pool are obtained from the Spa and again a small deposit is charged and refunded at the end of the holiday.
The pools are very good and the waterpark is excellent. The kids loved it.
The resort and hotel was very clean. There are Staff everywhere cleaning, gardening or working in the restaurants. They really do put the effort in to make things work well.
There is a great choice of food in the restaurant. We mainly went to the Tropicana.
The evening entertainment was popular with the very young kids. The entertainers worked hard, but i was not that interested in any of the shows that they did.
The weather was excellent throughout our stay. We had no problems getting a sunbed by the pool at anytime.
The resort borders the beach and there are some great water rides for the kids there.
These cost 20 Turkish Lira each and are good fun. They are not operated by people from the resort to my knowledge.
I would recommend this place for people with children. The Turkish staff were helpful throughout and are a credit to the resort.

.. like many people reading reviews on here we were a bit worried about some of the negative reviews that had been posted before we set off, but for the life of me i just dont understand how anyone can come away with any negative feelings . the place is just a fantastic holiday resort for the whole family.
we had a 3 1/2 hour delay going because of a faulty seat in the cockpit so we didnt actuall arrive at the hotel until 3am. the temperature was 31 c. the transfer from izmir is 45 mins. flying to bodrum is cheaper but you have a 3 hour transfer from there on top of the 4 hour flight. the check in process at the hotel is very quick and we were in our rooms within 15 minutes of arriving. you can take your cases with you or let the bell boys deliver them to your room. that is a good option if you are not in close proximity to the lobby as it is a very large hotel the people on reception will advise you on this. then it was a caseof getting our heads down and getting up for the morning meeting with the reps.
the hotel has 4 outdoor pools and 2 small pools with slides for the smaller kids. the atlantis pool is for over 18s only and is very peaceful and sedate. then you have the fontana pool which is the biggest and has the most entertainment available and also music all day. you have water arobics, water polo with adinin and sertac killer darts with jack sparrow and fun pool games with all the animation team headed by simon sez and of course the club dance 3 times a day around the pool. you will all be doing it by the end of your holiday. then you have the caribbean pool that also has entertainment and music but on a slightly smaller scale and the flamingo pool that is more reserved and chilled out but also very nice. all the pools are very large and are 1.4m in depth but they all have a section fenced off for the little ones. drinks are available from bars around the pool with the fontana and flamingo pools with swim up bars,. the kids loved these. ice cream was also free between the hours of 12.30 and 2.30 and in the two weeks we were there we didnt see more than 4 kids in the queue at anyone time. there are also 2 indoor pools but only one was open all day and it was a bit too cold for my liking . a word of warning about the pools, there are no lifeguards in any of the pools .
the beach had lots to do including beach volleyball, football goals(bring your own ball) peddelos (up to 4 people) single and double kyacks all this is free. also available is sailboats, windsurfing jetski , banana boats and fishing on the pier but with an additional cost. the sea is very warm with lots of fish swiming around but we did see a couple of jellyfish but the water is very clear so you can see everythng that is around you.
the temperatures during the day were in the 40's but with the sea breeze it is very nice but do use alot of sun protection cream as you do see a few bad cases of sunburn, between the four of us we had no sunburn so it can be avoided with a bit of common sense.
the waterpark is great and as it is free you can come and go as many times as you want ( hotel guests have a seperate gate next to the flamingo pool). the slides are alot of fun and the longest we had to wait was 5 minutes and we went in august ! it is very expensive inside the park for food or drink so dont get anything inside the park just walk back into the hotel and you are 2 minutes away fom getting a drink or something to eat. the kids fom 10 upwards can go into the park unaccompanied. all the slides have a height restriction of 1.20m and the lifeguards are very strict but there is an area for the young ones with a pirate ship etc and of course the lazy river.
the food available in the buffet restaurants in the hotel is on the whole very good with a wide range of dishes on offer. i recomend the pancakes or omeletes for breakfast. these are prepared for you on order so you have to queue but again not long and there was none of the pushing in that i had read about. the pearl bar has snacks avaliable during the day such as burgers hot dogs pizza chicken kebabs chips stir fry and a salad bar and was a nice alternative for lunch if you had a late breakfast and are not hungry during lunch times in the buffet restaurants. (12.30 to 2.30pm) the snack bar was open till at least 4pm i think. the hotel has 4 al a carte restaurants at an extra cost but we did not use these.
the hotel has a few bars with the beach bar and lobby bar offering a glorious view of the sunset then you have the bar at the ampitheatre which has the kids disco and main show for entertainment. now the shows are hit or miss but remember this is not broadway. the best show are usually the ones with audience participation. alot of fun. after the main show the animation teams split up and put on shows at the beach bar and pearl bar with a disco ending the night in the pearl bar til 2am. no show is repeated in the two weeks and you get a newsletter everyday put under your door with whats on during the following day and night. the animation team do a great job in keeping you entertained and are very much a part of your holiday experience and that is coming from someone who is not keen on your usual holiday red coat type. these guys are in a different league - great characters. another bar in the hotel is the irish bar ( you wont get a pint of guiness in there though) that shows all the football matches if you want to see whats going on in the premier league
inside the hotel you have bowling, table tenis , dartboards scalectrix and a games room with internet access and also playstation at an extra cost. the shops inside the hotel are independant from the hotel and are very pricey. the spa is very nice but again you have to pay extra . a word of warning about the photo shop that offers sunset photos. we had this thinking it would be a couple of family shots and a couple of the kids on their own in front of the sunset. it wasnt. think of a wedding day and thats what it is like. they took over 200 snaps and then they try to sell you a package starting at 300tkl for 30 photos. if you have the money fine but we didnt want this and felt that we were hoodwinked into the whole situation as they do not state the packages at the start only after they have taken the photos. in the end we took 13 photos and got them on cd disc as well to get more prints at home for 130tkl. they even wanted 130 tkl extra for the cd disc but my wife refused to pay and they backed down "just this once" they said.
outside of the hotel the only trip we did was to the market in kusadasi on a wednesday. even if you do not like shopping or intend to buy anything it is well worth going to witness the traders banter and sales technique and the haggling process. never buy anything for the first price they say. half it and go from there. it was an enjoyable 2 hours or so. to get to the market you can either get a taxi from outside the hotel which will cost 25tkl or the dolmus bus which stops on the main road outside the complex and will cost you 3.50 tkl. its only 15minutes away and if you go after breakfast you could have a nice look around and be back in time for lunch .
the downside: the only negative thing we found was that although you can have your room cleaned every day if you want they do not hoover your room at all in the two weeks. we found this strange because they hoover everywhere else in the hotel apart from the rooms . so apart from this and the photo shop experience that is a seperate entity from the hotel anyway thats not bad is it.
so all in all we had a holiday we will never forget it was a brilliant, funpacked, relaxing, exhillarating, chilled out beautiful experience! it has something for everyone and if you cant find something to enjoy at this hotel, well i doubt if you ever will

I read many reviews about this hotel and began to worry - but honestly this place is fantastic, there are staff cleaning every minute of every day, the waiters are excellent and bring drinks to your table, the food is fab we were there 2 weeks and only a couple of dishes were repeated - having said that the quality is fabulous. The Turkish people are so hospitable, warm and very welcoming I can not understand how anyone coming here can not enjoy themselves. The entertainment team are fantastic,, Simon Sez, Natanelle, Analise far too many to name, lots going on poolside, beach bonfires, ampitheatre, bbq's and the wonderful beach bar which we loved - this hotel is amazing lots of attention to detail beautiful place - only downside is there is no where local to walk to - but once over that and enjoying this fabulous complex you'll be more than happy - we didn't want to come home :(.

Only one negative - little too far out of anywhere. You must get transport to go anywhere.

The Hotel & Aquapark was second to none. The Entertainment team were better than anywhere I have ever been. More food and drink choices than you can imagine. Slightly expensive in the hotel so we waited until we all went into the town and bought there. That was an experience in itself.

Will definately return if I knew the Entertainment team was still there.

Good on you Aqua Fantasy

Hotel is fantastic for kids, our 7 year old loved the waterpark and the pools. The entertainment team during the day was fantstic plenty for children todo. The cleanliness of the hotel was superb, there is always someone there to clean up, could not fault. Dont buy anything in the complex shops we went into town itself and bought stuff there for alot less, the shops are certainly a rip off. We ate mainly in the Oasis buffett resturant which was nice although towards the 2nd week the food got a bit dull so went out into town for a change. I found the staff in the Flamingo resturant were very rude and unhelpful, however every were else they couldnt do enough for you. If you travel with First Choice / Thomson just to let you know you get one free meal in one of the resturants which they forget to tell you. We ate in the Turkish one and this was by far the best meal we ever had! The evening enterinment at the Pear Bar was ok, the beach party and garden party was good. Be warned if you go the beach bar you end up getting bit by the mossies!!. Be there early thought to get a seat as once the ampithetre shows finishes everyone rushes to the pearl bar. The enterainment here is ok but gets a bit annoying. Also they advertise that they are having a cocktail party, but dont mention if you want a speacial one from the menu you have to pay extra, starting from £7.00. The free cocktails are nothing to write home about, feels like you are drinking syrup!!

Over all we had a good holiday and you can not fault it for the kids, but this is not a place i would be rusing back too.!!!

I would reccomnend this to anyone that has children,

good for families with young children, my husband and myself went with our son, daughter in law and 2 boys not for the over 60,s the childrens club and entertainment was excellent. the only down fall was the long journey to the hotel from bodrum airport and the shops within the complex the sweet shops well anything for children was so expensive try to go into the city to buy you need to have plenty of money to buy on site. Dont be tempted to buy watches from the shops on the complex they are really excellent copies but they dont work when you get home although the gentleman said life time guarantee, bring them back and we will exchange, watch this space, my family have already booked for next year will let you know if he is a man of his word. we would recommend
