Very nice beach along the coast between Eilat and Taba. As it's not free entry (unless you have an Israel Parks Authority membership -- in which case you have free entry), it's generally not too crowded. You can snorkel right at the beachfront, or you can swim along the coral reef just at the border of the protected lagoon area (which you're not allowed to enter). You can buy small snacks/refreshments at the gift shop, but there's no real food available to buy, so if you want to eat while you're there, it's best to bring something with you (or you can get your hand stamped and walk across the street to the little grocery store and get some stuff there).

We enjoyed sitting on the beach as well as snorkeling. Good variety of fish . Easy to use for inexperienced and experienced alike.

Went to Eilat with my family (parents in 40s, kids 15 and 12 and mother-in-law 70s) and decided to go snorkeling. Was staying at the Queen of Sheba and took a cab (about 30NS) to Coral Beach. Make sure you are dropped at the Nature Reserve and not the clubs just north of it. At the clubs you can get a beach chair, eat, drink and rent gear but the snorkeling is not great. Much better at the nature reserve. There is an entrance fee, then a fee to rent gear but it is worth it. Place was pretty empty with lots of places to get a chair and relax. You walk out the north bridge and there are steps to enter the clear blue water. The water is a bit chilly because of the deep port but tolerable, so no wet suit is needed. There is a path of buoys south along the outer rim of the reef, to a southern bridge with steps to get out. Lots of beautiful fish that swarm all around you, a few harmless jellyfish, and decently colored and varied shaped coral (for today). Cabs are available right outside the place or you can use the Gett app to call a cab. Overall, everyone had fun and all felt it was worth the trip!

No need to be experienced. The fish and the reef are on shallow waters just below. Free car park and easy to reach by city bus.

We saw very beautiful coloured corals and an entire subacvatic life. It is amazing what they could preserve here!
