location is great, staff really nice, rooms are a little less there's a weird moldy smell when u enter the room, payed extra for a balcony which was not well kept, beds kinda hard , and the price i payed could have gotten me a better room not in a boutique hotel, in the morning there was no milk for coffee in the coffee room very easy to go and buy a carton, but the area is great .

The hotel is on a very busy street. Our room was right over a restaurant and they serve food and drinks till very late and then they start serving breakfast early in the morning. The patio of the restaurant is outside where food is served. We were told that we had a view of the temple but that is only from the edge of the deck. Most of the rooms face the street and the few rooms that don't are in the back facing a tall fence that is next to the parking lot.
For breakfast you are given a voucher to be used at near by restaurants. Choices were very limited and if you want a second cup of coffee you had to pay for it. I much prefer Israeli breakfasts at hotels were you have many choices.
This was our least favorite place to stay in Israel
Watch out for the exchange rate they use as it is much worse than anyplace else.

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere if you are a light sleeper.

Very small room with not much more space than the queen sized bed. Room very clean and bed comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Can hear some noise from outside the room. Located on the Main Street in the German colony with great views looking towards the Baha’i Gardens. Be aware that the hotel is situated in an old building and there is no elevator but staff will help carry luggage up the stairs. Breakfast is not actually served in the hotel. You are given vouchers to one of five local restaurants. You choose the restaurant. Unfortunately we were there on Christmas Day and were restricted to the one place that was open and their breakfast was very ordinary.

I returned to Templers Boutique Hotel about a year following my initial visit. It was a pleasant experience. The room was different and well laid out with modern fixtures. A charming contrast of old and new, and a wonderful base to see Haifa.
Templers Boutique is spread over a couple of old buildings in Haifa’s fascinating German Colony. That setting during the Christmas season becomes spectacular in the hands of the mainly Christian Arabs who populate the area. A canopy of lights several blocks long floods Ben Gurion Avenue, augmented by the holiday lights of the many restaurants. Truly worth a special trip to take it in.

The location might be perfect in terms of distance from attractions -- on the main drag of the German Colony, footsteps away from the Bahai Garden, near many restaurants and bars.
But, as a result, the noise is unbearable. Our room was next door to a restaurant / bar that blared pounding music until after 1am.
For $250 a night I would have expected them to soundproof the rooms, or let us know in advance we were getting a noisy room or at least provide us with a solution when we complained - besides offering us ear plugs (no joke, that's what they suggested).
The noise and lack of sleep overshadowed everything else unfortunately. Including the spacious clean room and the lovely breakfast.

Room Tip: Check if the room is facing the street!
