I was in Jerusalem for two days at the end of October. I was traveling solo and had picked this hotel based on its location, assumed safety, aesthetic and good reviews. Boy, am I glad I did.
During the last few hours of my time in the city, my wallet got stolen at the market (I should’ve been more careful!) and I was in an absolute bind. I didn’t have access to cards nor cash. And I had to eat/get a cab to Tel Aviv airport etc. The hotel’s front desk team were incredibly calming, and knowing I had zero options for cash, did what I’m sure isn’t commonplace at all - they issued me cash against my husband’s credit card authorization (my husband was in New York). I cannot even imagine what I would have done without their help. They did this without any fuss. And this will always stand out in my mind as what is truly great service. Of course, everything else was good as welll, all the usual parameters - check in service, rooms, cleanliness, food (they have a great happy hour spread), but it’s when the hotel goes above and beyond that you really know what separates the ordinary from the best. Thank you to all your front desk staff. I will be back.More
