Staff is friendly and flexible. I came late in the morning and didn't charge me the few hours extra I stayed in the hotel. Decoration is bit worn out. Location is not ideal but there are buses around that drop you in the city center rather quickly. There are some good restaurants and bar in the neighbourhood like the wafle bar just 150 mts away.
The restaurant next door is nice and convenient. The hotel gives you a voucher and you can have breakfast there. For those netalcoholics, an advantage is that internet is free.

Beautiful old Ottoman architecture but whole building a bit tired. Excellent friendly staff. Very small "public" area - just the front corridor with a few armchairs. Free coffee and tea at all times. Room reminiscent of East Europe in the 1960's. Spartan, dirty windows, really awful furniture and no plugs in bath or washbasin (Reception more than happy to supply, but seemed odd that one had to ask). Comfortable bed and good linen/towels. Awful old curtains. Very good bath/shower, but tiled floor in bathroom and bedroom needed a deep clean. Quiet at night, but on a busy road so rooms at the front would be noisy. Advertused "large garden with many inviting spots under beautiful old plane trees" nothing more than an unsightly building site/dump with no visible means of access.

Breakfast in attached cafe. Very odd. Choice of "Israeli", eggs and salad, "Quaker" sort of porridge oats and muesli with fruit. Huge wastage as helpings very large. Far better to have set it out buffet style. Disgusting fruit squash; one would think Israel did not produce any citrus fruit. Service very slow - took ages for food to appear.

Good location. Short busride into town. Old City 30 mins walk. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Altogether good value for money, even if did seem a bit like a hostel.

A Little House is located one block from bus stops with numerous routes. For walkers it is a brisk 30-40 minute walk to the Old City. The staff were all proficient in English, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. One of Jerusalem's treasures.

The hotel was excellent value for the money. Restaurant nearby has excellent food.
The rooms were clean, free wifi. The staff was very great.Everyone spoke English.
The room was adequate for 1 but a bit small for 2 persons.

This hotel is very cute and in a beautiful building with very friendly staff. Although away from the Old City it is in a nice, interesting location opposite the bus stop (10min ride to the Old town). I had a small single room on the 1st floor which was rather tired as other reviewers have remarked, but was clean and had all the basics. The communal areas however are stunning. The restaurant below is quite average and expensive (as a Brit I found most of Israel expensive though so this is not unusual!) Overall a good budget option away from the tourist traffic and much more in a local residential neighbourhood.

The little house in Baka is a boutic hotel with basic amenities. It is well located in an old house in the German Colony neighbourhood, close to a strip full of restaurants. Its location is superb for long walk to the old cities. There is a parking problems in the neibourhood. The price of this hotel is half the price charged by major Jerusalem hotels, so if you are ready to compromise on amenities, this is the place to go!

Room Tip: ask for rooms 12,13,14 or that area - their windows face tha yard and not the street

I have stayed in this limited service hotel a number of times and find that it is ideal for the budget conscious. The rooms are fairly small and a bit tired in their furnishings and decor. Bathrooms are even smaller but functional. It has always been clean. The "family room" (small suite) option gives you more room to relax and allows for an extra 3 to sleep but cannot be used for entertaining. This is a perfect place to wake early, have a light breakfast and return at the end of the day to sleep. Staff is very friendly and helpful for recommendations, reservations or transportation. Oded Niv has managed the facility for many years and has always been helpful.
It is well located if you want to be in the following neighborhoods: Baka, German Colony, Arnona, Talpiot & Katamon. It is not as well located if you want to be in the center of the main attractions. 10 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and bars in the German Colony (Emek Refaim). 5 minute walk to the shops, restaurants and bars on Derech Bet Lechem. 30 minute walk to the Old City or Center of Town. Taxis are easily accessible. There is no dedicated parking if you have a car but I have found it relatively easy to park on a regular basis. Steps away from Bagel Bite (great shakshuka, bagels and eggs). Across the street and within 10 minutes walk of a number of synagogues popular with the Anglo modern orhodox crowd.
