It's always nice to stroll through the narrow shop- and restaurant-filled alleys of Jerusalem's Old City. It can sometimes get crowded, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Some are wary of visiting the Old City for security reasons, but I have personally never felt unsafe there. If you want to buy something in one of the shops, just make sure to bargain, it is expected: do not agree to the first price offered by the shopkeeper! And if you stop to eat in one of the many little restaurants, make sure to ask to see a menu and/or ask for the prices up front -- otherwise there's a high chance you'll get stuck with an unjustifiably HUGE bill! And if there's one place you shouldn't miss -- it's Jafar Sweets, where you'll find the best Knafeh around, guaranteed! Jafar Sweets is located along the way toward Damascus Gate when you're coming from the main entrance to the Muslim Quarter from Jaffa Gate. If you don't know where to find it, just ask one of the shopkeepers -- everyone knows the place. Definitely worth seeking out!

My wife and I come to Jerusalem often yet it's holiness and historic significance is always new and dynamic. A special place that changes you once you visit. Like no other place in the world. You feel like you are a part of something special. A feast for the eyes and senses.

Simply an unbelievable and amazing place that words can’t describe. Immersed in Jewish history and culture, walking the footsteps of Jesus, the shops, the foods, the people...perfection!

Thousands of people from all over the world, all to see this little plot of land with so much history. My private tour was SO worth it, saw much more than I would have with a group.

We traveled with a Christian group and toured both the Old city and the whole of Israel. At no time did we feel unsafe.
