Small hotel, clean and tidy. No restaurant but you don't need one, there are loads of cafés, bars and restaurants nearby. Galileo offer free coffee and tea which you can take to your room or enjoy on the terrace.

Staff were exceptionally helpful with regard to transport info and printing off boarding passes.

Transport links from the hotel are excellent, busses 2 mins, the beach is 5 mins away. Traditional market is 2 mins walk. Bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

Thank you for making our short break in Tel Aviv so enjoyable.

We picked the Galileo hotel as it seemed to be ideally located, and it was. Plenty in walking distance, Old Jaffa, restaurants, bars and the beach. The HaCarmel market is virtually on the door step. The room was snug, and the décor a little tired, but that did not detract from a lovely stay. If you want 5star lux, then go somewhere else, but with regard to service you couldn't ask for more. The staff are friendly and helpful
There is a lovely terrace on the second floor, ideal for relaxing and planning the next day or evening excursion.
Other comments on our trip not related to the hotel;
On arrival we took a taxi to the hotel for convenience, 180nis. For the return trip we took the bus and train, less than 40nis. The trip was very simple. 16 bus from Allenby to the train station 5.90nis, Train to Ben Gurion 13.50nis. I have no hesitation in suggesting taking this option on arrival (in reverse!) to anyone.
The price of alcohol was a shock for us, 15euros for a pint of Guinness, 7.50euros for a glass of wine.
We did a guided tour with Bein Harim, day trip to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. Trip was good, guide was informative. We were put in a taxi to take us to the Dead Sea, and we didn't have a lot of time there because of the delay.
We took a trip to Ramla by bus, to see the Pool of Arches and the market, 22nis per person round trip.
Getting about by public transport is easy, everyone is very helpful.
We had a very enjoyable trip, and there is a strong possibility of us coming back.

Excellente location for public transport and night life. Personnel friendly and helpful.
But, as other customers observed, the lack of a lift makes life difficult if you have heavy
luggage. There's no lobby area or a place to sit. I had my coffee/tea outside the door leaning on the wall. The carpet in the room is old and filthy and would need a change.
The bathroom needs better shower equipment and shelf space. The fridge in the room is a plus. Closet space is only for short stays. The TV has limited channels choice and is placed at over 2 m. height ( a bit high if you are not lying in bed).
Quiet in the daytime (good for night-people) but not at night: the two pubs on both sides of the hotel were at times very loud till after midnight,

Room Tip: back-side rooms might be quiter

I led a group of 15 from the USA and arrived at the hotel at about 1 am. The staff was very helpful in getting us checked in quickly. We chose this hotel because it was cheap and met our needs for a quick night before we headed out to Jerusalem. Our group of 15 took a 15 passenger bus from the hotel to Jerusalem from 240.00 USD. If you are looking for a room on a budget in a decent part of town this will work well for you.

Room Tip: Make sure you check out the rooftop sitting area. Beautiful views.

I expected more according to the score they had. However the hotel is really bad. The bathroom was in very bad conditions and the smell was horrible. The customer service pretty normal, I requested a taxi to the airport, the receptionist told me a price and the driver charged me higher. There is no elevator and to get to the second floor is around 15 stairs which is too much if you are traveling with a big luggage. The price for that hotel must not be higher than 40 usd/ night.
