What a dirty, disappointing and dysfunctional Hotel.

The location is better than handy, this building needs a total renovation: top to toe.

The staff, front office, restaurant are very underwhelming. The rooms are dirty.

Sorry, its a do not bother until its had the complete make over. Hardware & Peopleware.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Leonardo Beach. The morning breakfast was varied, and had lots of familiar and unique offerings. The location is convenient to the beach and for walks thru the neighborhoods. There are a lot of restaurants and retail, starting a block a way.

The hotel needs a freshening. The floors, paint, wall paper and window treatments all show signs of age and wear. Everything is clean, but the chipped paint, stains and cracks are obvious. The business center seems like a great idea, but it seemed to only get restocked and cleaned once a day. Some particularly boisterous guests left it in a mess one afternoon.

The staff are for the most part helpful and good natured. We failed to book the right number of nights for our stay and the hotel was able to extend our stay in spite of the holiday demand.

Great location right next to the beach with adequate paid parking next door (100NIS/night). Attendant here is very good.

Can be a bit noisy (single glazed windows - emergency services and boy-racers) and decor is getting tired. Fixtures and fittings can be quirky (see photos - shower screen at wrong end of bath!) but beds are modern and very comfy. Looks like inbuilt AC has been replaced by wall mounts and this works really well and is quiet and efficient (once you work out the wall controls no longer work and the “new” handset is next to the bed!). Good range of TV and free WiFi.

Breakfast is a wide range of food with something to suit most tastes.

Beware the “Shabbat” elevator (right hand one of the 2 available) which is activated from sundown on Friday until sundown Saturday - only an issue if you’re in a hurry.

Biggest niggle is room door was badly fitting resulting in cleaners leaving the room unlocked all day - only discovered when I got back in the evening - nothing missing but not really acceptable in this day and age.

Good location, close to the beach and bars and restaurants. Breakfast is good with proper espresso. Old building, need to be renovated, dirty carpets in the hallway, tiny bathroom, smells like mold. Stayed for 3 nights on the sixth flor. The first night I noticed that there were some bugs in my room, like little spiders. So in the morning I complained. In the evening it was obvious that the have tried to clean the room but The bugs were still there. So I had to change the room. The New room was on the same flor and it wasn't better, but was free of bugs. Staff was nice. Overall not worth the money. Do not recommend.
