The location is very good. Close to many restaurants and 2 mins from Tel Aviv's fab beaches
The hotel is well worn but if you have a or night stay and you are on a limited budget then this is a very good choice for you.
Breakfast was good and gave a good start to the day. Especially the spicy eggs...

Room Tip: Ask for a rear room if you want quiet.

The rooms are very very bad, the door doesn't close well, rooms never cleaned, no respect of privacy (the morning i woke up and I realized the cleaning lady was trying to get in and she said that this is how they work because there is no "do not disturb" sign....

The Imperial has quite large rooms, well air conditioned (essential in Tel Aviv) and is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. I noted some earlier critical reviews about this place, but that was not my experience. My room was basic and the property is a bit dated, but everything is clean and works - so for the price it is reasonable value. It seems to be run by grumpy old men - but that's just the Israeli way and they are actually quite helpful, despite initial impressions to the contrary.

A great feature of the hotel is that it houses 2 of Tel Aviv's top cocktail lounges on the ground floor: The Imperial; and La Otra. Both are absolutely first class and are great places to chill out, especially during Happy Hour when the prices are reduced by 50%.

In the unlikely event that the managers are reading this, there is a simple thing that could make the hotel much, much better: improve breakfast. It is very basic - just some salads; toast; boiled eggs - and a tray of baked unrecognisable slab of vegetarian something. There is so much cheap fresh fruit available surely some of that could be easily supplied for some variety. And also some genuine coffee - even a cheap drip filter pot of the stuff. Israeli instant coffee is absolutely the worst in the world and tastes like Drano. It would be very easy to greatly improve breakfast for minimal expense to the hotel.

Yes, the hotel has seen better days, but the staff is very accommodating. The rooms are small but tidy. A block from the beach. Two blocks from the US Embassy. Both bars on the first floor are amazing cocktail bars. Food is also very good. If you don't need snooty service this is a great place to go to.

Absolutely dirty rooms!!! The price for this awful quality too high! Hotel don't worth it. U can find much more better for the same price! Stuff don't care about your comfort! They give normal rooms to European guests mostly ...
