The hotel is on a random street and doesn't look like anything from the front door. But once you go in, the hotel is really nice. The lobby is big and a great place to have group meetings. There are rooms in the basement as well that are good for presentations or large groups.
Across the street are good restaurants. There are 2 banks within a 5 mins walk.
Our bedroom was really big and comfortable. The bathrooms were small but very clean.

Two nights and can truthfully give this a very good to high average rating. King- size , comfortable bed. BBC & CNN.. If you are into TV . Large, glistening bathroom. Hot water, hair dryer, lots of towels. Breakfast and free WiFi. Location matters. Zahran Street: turn left and within the block a fully stocked liquor store, ATMs ( I used TD Bank of Canada debit card with no problem); modern pharmacy on the corner.
Turn rigt on exiting hotel: Within 10 min., you will see Popeye's & Burger King. Cross over carefully. Right behind the, half block to the next street: Off to the right you will see McDonald's ... keep going right past McD's and you will come to a fresh fruit/ vegetable shop, then you will see off to the right Starbuck's at the entrance to the Galleria Shopping Mall. Need I say more. Canadian Embassy on Zahran too.

Room Tip: Read my review ....all there

Right on Zahran street, a very important one in Amman, next to big hotel chains.
Retaj hotel is clean, staff are polite and they don’t check your bags every single time you enter like other hotels do.
Breakfast menu is not bad and the room quality (including bathroom) was actually very good.
Clean towels and clean sheets.
No BEIN sports though, if you’re a football fan, go watch elsewhere
Wireless internet coverage was bad at my 2nd floor and they couldn’t fix it ...

The hotel is perfect for a traveller. This was part of the g adventures package. No complaints at all. Even when the heating broke in my room the manager took extra care to upgrade me to a suite. Super service and good location.

Stayed for 3 nights in 2 different rooms in September 2017 as part of a gadventures tour. Rooms are clean, the bathroom in one of the rooms was a bit shabby though. Good food with room service. WiFi is above average, although sometimes breaks down. Door key cards often don't work and have to be replaced, keep them separate from your phone.
Reception is always available to help. Breakfast is average.
