“Has become an institution”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

Yes, this is maybe the only place in town that you can be shure that the food is always fresh. This is not due to being a luxury place or a place with top quality control...no, this is simply due to the fact that this is the most famous place in town, open 24/7 and attracting huge masses of mainly locals but nowadays also a growing number of travellers. The place is sqeesed into an narrow alley and is more or less an open are, with only some half-inside seating. Never seen a menu in the place, but they do know what you've come for...hummous, falafel, sallad, tea and some other local "fast food". All this is served without frills, so don't expect any "fine dining" in candle light. Just sit down, relax, enjoy the good food and suck the extraordinary atmosphere....

“One of Amman's oldest and best falafel places”
Reviewed 1 April 2012

An icon in Amman. You cannot visit this city and not have a tradition falafel meal @ Hashem!!!
Make sure you dress casually...this place it located downtown in one of the oldest and busiest areas of the capital.
