Golestan Palace
Ranked #4 of 166 things to do in Tehran

This palace is the only world heritage palace in Tehran. It goes back to zand and Ghajar dynesty. Some area of this castel has more than 400 ages. Uniqe mirror works, mozaeek work and architecture of the castel makes it one of must see places in Iran. U can easly spend 2 hours inside. And walking in a garden like a king and qeen. And enjoying of birds sings. And also drinking a tasty coffe or ttea at the yards coffeshop

Thank gol p

Golestan Palace is one of the highlights of a trip to Iran but it is best to go here early on in your trip. If you save this one for the last and have already gone to places such as Isfahan and Shiraz it might be a bit of disappointment since the Persian/Islamic art work is much more detailed and refined there. However, the mirror room in this hotel is not to be missed, astonishing example of Qajar art and period.

Tehran doesnt have much to offer in terms of historical sites ... but Golestan Palace is one of the few places every visitor needs to visit. Just make sure the place is open before visiting.
