Booked two different days at the cavalier, but we need to shift the dates due to the unexpected civil unrest. Asked to call the next day every day through orbitz, which we did, but in the end it wasn’t a good faith effort to shift our days even though hotels in Beirut were running a very low occupancy rate due to the sudden determination of the security situation. In the end we cancelled and booked at a hotel further away from the demonstrations. Unlike the hotel, and orbitz, the airlines had no issues with cancelling our tickets and changing dates since it was plainly obvious that there was a significant change in the country in dec 2019.
We requested a refund which was denied, but only after they dragged their feet for 3 weeks.
Very Poor customer service and zero empathy for their customers at a time when they need their businesses most.More
