A must visit if you in the UAE. A really spiritual place! Clothes to cover up are provided and there is a nice coffee shop on site for refreshments. As is normal in the UAE, there is lots of parking available.

We didn’t want a whole day trip or half day trip to Abu Dhabi. Wanted to go to Abu Dhabi to see the mosque and leave right away. I suggest to go during sunset . Beautiful views . You can have pictures when the sun is there and when it is going down. We ordered from getyourguide.com. They pick you up from your hotel and drop you off. For 2 people it cost $97.36 total In U.S. dollars which was the best deal we came across . Takes about an hr n half to get there. You stay for an hour n half . Thn hour n half to get back. The guide gives something to wear for the ladies and men so don’t really have to worry about what you are wearing since you will be covered up. The guide gave good information about Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the ride there plus gives a complimentary water. This is the 4th largest mosque in the world and largest mosque in the U.A.E. . Must place visit when coming to dubai.

The Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi is not to be missed. Modest dress for men, and women must be totally covered; they will provide the appropriate garb at no charge for the ladies. You must remove your shoes, but it's ok to keep on socks. It is impeccably clean, all sparkling white, with gorgeous chandeliers and architectural bas relief designs, amazing mosaics and pristine marble inlays. The mosque holds 40,000 worshippers. The 1000+ columns with gold leaf capitals each are decorated with colored marble inlaid leaves. The carpet in the large prayer room weighs 35 tons. It is an architectural marvel and stands as a monument where all can appreciate this tribute to the One Supreme Creator, call Him God or Allah; we are all welcome.

Iconic place maybe a modern Taj Mahal. An absolute architectural gem. Highly recommended is a night visit: the light show is impressive.

Modern Taj Mahal. I think the architects were actually inspired by The Sultan's Palace (SEE: Aladdin and compare for yourself). It is incredible. I could have spent many more hours there and it will definitely be a first stop on the list if I'm ever back in the Emirates. I could describe everything in detail but that would take away from the experience. Everything is beautiful, even the bathrooms and water fountains! I told a local child that I had gone to Abu Dhabi and her response was, "Why? There is nothing there to see but desert…unless you went tot he mosque."
