It's free and a good way to spend 30 mins. It shows traditional handicrafts and some of the history of UAE

I love history, so I was very excited to visit the Heritage Village. Two words describe it: "overpriced fleamarket". The museum exhibit is very small and a few tents being put up does not constitute as history in my book. Avoid it especially in summer, as everything is open.
But if you go, take the time to go to the second highest flagpole in the world. (I think Jordan now has the highest)

Heritage village is designed to give the visitor an idea of Abu Dhabi before the development of this modern city.

There is no charge in and this attraction is suitable for all age groups. There are some steps up to some of the buildings and access to the beach is across sand.

Nice buffet style restaurant on site with an all you eat buffet for 79 dirhams (€17 approx)

Actually, for me, living in Abu Dhabi, its a MUST to take all my family and friends coming to visit me. You can see the original life in the desert, many handcraft things to buy at a reasonable price, amazing views of the city and sea, with a real camel and a donkey for take some pictures and a ride.
There is a parking outside, sometimes a bit rowdy when tourists buses arrive. But still ok.

This attraction could be so much more interesting but it is a bit run down and generally displays a lack of enthusiasm to show Abu Dhabi's culture and heritage, apart from a few photos and artefacts from times past.
