Great hotel, great food, beautiful swimming pool but the rooms aren’t the best for the money! Plastic shower curtains are really bad! The view from back rooms are not that good also! But in generally its a nice place to enjoy the beach!

This is probably the most disappointing hotel stay for sometime. I admit to being in the industry which means I have high standards and can be difficult to please but I can also be objective. There is a serious lack of care for this property from the owners. With absolutely no attention to detail. We were booked in by Trailfinders so we’re relying on their expertise.
This is the only hotel actually on the beach, which is perhaps why it doesn’t seem to care. The prices are high both for accommodation and for drinks and food. The high prices do not reflect the offering, a boutique hotel it is not. It’s situation is perhaps its best point, but the nearest restaurant is 20 minute walk. ( Beija flor if your interested 5 star! ) The hotel has an air of neglect, wherever you look you see maintenance issues and areas that need cleaning and tidying. Filthy windows, dirty and torn cushions round the pool, damaged umbrellas, rotten wooden walkways and so forth. Staff all seem a bit disinterested with no passion or direction.
For the money paid the room was terrible and dirty, curtains a disgrace probably never washed, bed throw covered in other people’s hairs, the corners of the floor thick with grime, paintwork filthy, floor scuffed, and not even a free bottle of water.
So be warned I am sure there are better places to stay. This place needs a complete refurb and a decent manager.

We spent the last two nights here at the end of our tour of Uruguay and Argentina hoping to relax before the long trip back to the U.K. Without doubt we chose the right hotel. The setting is beautiful, right on the beach. The hotel is really nicely decorated with a south east Asia style, rooms are good with nice bathrooms and the colour scheme adds to the sense of calm. As well as a great outdoor pool there is an indoor pool with a sauna and spa on offer though we didn’t use those facilities. Breakfast was good - continental style which meant no hot food on offer but plenty of cold meats and fruit etc.. We had dinner in one of two restaurants at the hotel. We chose Asiana and it was fabulous. The chef is a young Peruvian guy and he is really great at his job. Service was exceptional, really helpful waiting staff who knew the menu and helped us choose. Our food was delicious and we ate on the beach in front of beacons that are lit at night. A truly magical experience. The beach in front of the hotel is wonderful and not crowded at all and we were there in high season. The hotel is not located in the centre of Punta Del Este so if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of things maybe look elsewhere or be prepared to get taxis. The staff and service were excellent from the guys who sorted out the pool bed and umbrella to the excellent cleaning staff and people at the front desk. Highly recommended.

We have just completed our second visit to the hotel. We found the first trip enjoyable but the second trip was amazing.
The hotel is situated on the beach and we spent 4 sun soaked days lazing about while hotel staff looked after our every need. From placing sunbeds and umbrellas near the water for us, to serving lunch on the beach and supplying much needed cocktails late in the afternoon.
The service at dinner in the restaurant was just as good and every moment was enjoyable.
The bathrooms could be improved.
We will be returning for an even longer stay next year.
