Hotel Rosario was top notch! Clean, well appointed rooms in a great location. Breakfast was just ok, but there are a number of great restaurants and cafes within walking distance. What is most commendable about Hotel Rosario though is their staff. They were kind and welcoming and worked very hard to help us get into a room early when we had some flight trouble and had to return to the hotel unexpectedly.

Very, very good hotel. Great location, great service. The breakfast the only slight disappointment, not much too it. Rooms a little small and bathrooms a little tired, but the quaintness all make up for these short comings, along with not much worked in the room, ie safe, ipod docking station, tv etc. Wifi did work well however! Quite reasonably priced.

Comfortable, clean, amazing staff, a decent restaurant, tour-booking desk, decent breakfast included, comfy sitting area in the lobby (plus luggage storage if you go away), 'Rosario' literally has it all. We expected much higher prices for all they offered but it was reasonable.
This must be the best choice in La Paz.
*NOTE: If visiting Copacabana, it's also worth staying at their sister-hotel there; it might even be nicer than the one in La Paz!

An old Spanish colonial house converted and restored as a hotel. Of course this comes at a cost and so the building is not modern with all mod cons.

It is a beautiful building. Our room on the first floor was comfortable but the bathroom was tiny but functional.

Staff are excellent. The location could not be any better.

We arrived at 6am exhausted from a overnight bus and the hotel managed to get us into a room by 9am. We also were able to grab breakfast for 46 soles pp although we didn’t yet have a room! The bedroom itself was lovely, ours had two large double beds and was looking into the courtyard. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they kindly printed our boarding passes for us and helped us when we had problems checking into our flight. The room itself had a lovely subtly Bolivian style, was clean and had endless amounts of hot water and a bath! Breakfast was great. You can ask for boiled eggs - cocked to perfection! Fab stay, thank you very much!
