Yesterday, my wife, father-in-law and I were walking Bogota looking for a place to have lunch and, by chance, spotted Storia D’Amore, so we decided to try it. The best way I can describe the entire experience is: ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. We ordered the duck ragú, lamb tortellini, fish, pasa with cacie e pepe (cheese and pepper) and a salad with toasted walnuts, goat cheese, and with a drizzle of honey. Prosecco and a Sardinian wine accompanied the meal.
Chef Jeison prepared the entire meal PERFECTLY!! The pasta with duck ragú was exceptional and the lamb tortellini had a bit of tartufo (truffle) that made for a beautiful taste sensation. The food was presented beautifully and the temperature was perfect. The sommelier, Andrey, not only helped with the pairings, but he was our “dinner guide” throughout the entire meal experience. He talked about the different wines, cheeses, foods, and regions of Italy he has experienced. He made our five star evening into a ten star one. Our server, Laura, was the epitome of professionalism. We requested each plate be shared among us. She not only attended to our every request with supreme graciousness, but she apportioned each serving perfectly. She was respectful, attentive and kind the entire time with us.
