We spent a day at Hideaway towards the end of our two week trip and regretted not going earlier so we could have spent more days there! Snorkelling was awesome! Our 7 year old (strong swimmer)was able to do the snorkel safari, which takes you from a 4 metre depth to a 90 metre drop off. Being a marine sanctuary, there are many varieties of sealife to be seen. There are ample deck chairs if you just want to kick bac and enjoy a cold beer too. Great day for the whole family!

It has great snorkeling and its a great spot its a shame that the management of the accommodation and the dive center is so poor. Inconsistent information and lack of response to email inquiries and counter enquiries made our stay extremely frustrating. Everything was sooooo disorganised!

This was my first time to Hideaway.I went with 10 others on an organised 10 dive package through Dive Adventures and Dive Imports Erina Nsw.Had a really nice time. The dives were good and very relaxed,as well as the local guys from the shop who were great and always happy...relaaaax....breeaath..We saw plenty of of underwater life and this time of year the water was 27 degrees,so not bad at all.I wore board shorts and a long sleeved sharkskin top and that was fine, and I dived ad deep as 40 metres. Good vis too up too and around 30 metres depending on the dive location.I have been told it gets much better too which is great.
The dive staff and island staff were great. Thanks everyone on the island. No complaints except the odd cold/cool shower but that was not a problem. The food was nice and the prices are about the same as you would get back home in Aus.
So again thanks everyone,I will come back again some day.

Room Tip: Dorm, twin or single rooms are fine depending on the space you need. I shared a twin with a mate and it was good.

If your diving , snorkelling ,or just lazing about this is the place ,at a top price too. This was my first diving holiday in which I found the friendly staff very helpful and understanding of my ignorance of how things happen. The experienced dive team at Hideaway could not be faulted , and are now all close friends . Family friendly resort with clean ,comfortable rooms and bathrooms .

This was my third annual visit to hideaway and It has been the best so far
No its not a five star resort...its better.
As a return visitor we were once again warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and looked after.
Special thanks to Phil and his team who looked after us amazingly with our dives and their friendliness during our diver training...
Maria and Amy made sure we were looked after and had everything we needed with extra little touches (making sure we were served in the bar on boat days etc etc...)
the only thing I would say is bring back the old menu from 3 years ago and I would never leave the Island. The current menu is sparse and the old menu we had on our first initial visit was fantastic and we in fact didn't leave the island on that visit.
We stayed 10 days (our longest stay so far) and I cant wait to go back....
