Beautiful hotel. The main area is the historic Omar Kayyam hotel from the late 1800s when it was built to house guests at the opening of the Suez Canal. Lovely rooms. Fabulous restaurants, especially the Saray Gallery (see my separate review on that). The veranda was a gathering place for light lunches, beverages, and relaxing. We have stayed at this hotel every time we were in Cairo. Our first stay was in 1987. We enjoyed it as much today as we did then. Everything has been maintained and updated extremely well. Lovely staff, too. Highly recommend.
