We stayed four nights at the New Pola in Luxor and were quite happy with our choice. We wanted to avoid the worst hazzle around the so-called souq (tourist trap), this was our main reason to chose this spot. The hotel is located between the temple area and Luxor's main hotel zone, where one can find some nice restaurants.
The hotel itself offers an excellent price-value, we payed less than 300E£ for a double room. The furniture might be a bit outdated/-worn, but the rooms are bright and cosy. Our room had a balcony facing the Nile (the street is a bit loud, but so is the center). Everything was clean, but as I said, a bit outworn. The room had a TV, AC and hair dryer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The only minus is that they had wifi only in the lobby, it would be great to have wifi in the rooms, too.

This hotel is the worst hotel ever i'v seen in my life
The reception is dark and very hot because they are always shutting off the air conditioner
The food is bad and not enough
The worst thing is the stuff
They are not cooperating at all
They are aggressive and they don't care about what you want
Don't waist your money and your time there

For a budget hotel, this is a great option. The rooftop pool overlooking the Nile is a great spot to relax. The room was basic but clean and quiet. The balcony was nice. The manager was very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for something no frills but a good value, this is a great spot to stay.

We spent two nights in Mew Pola Hotel during our journey in Egypt. The hotel is perfect to spend some days relaxed in Luxor. Very clean, well located and reasonable prices. The only "but" would be about the young ladies at the reception, unable to give a smile and seeming not to be able to solve any question or matter you may need. Fortunately you always can talk with the manager, a very good profesional!

The room was clean the bed comfortable and clean the view from the room was very nice overlooking the Nile...... only downfall was breakfast had to keep asking for things 1st day had no sliced bread but had a toster fair play they had bread the next day did not like food plated up in fridge with clingflim over it and i do think fridge was not at the right temp butter was soft when it was there and did not have to ask for it ....the lobby was a bit dark allways looked closed from outside, to buy drinks and water was not silly price was good, the staff was ok very nice .there was not many pepole staying in the hotel i was talking to some one that goes there every year and they said breakfast used to big buffet .....but torisam is not good at moment and i am sure there is a lot hotels in the same situation if the hotel had done a good breakfast i would have rated it very good........ at the end of the day you get what you pay for and this was not bad for what we paid, would stay there again ......yes .... but i think i would give other hotels a try

Room Tip: have Nile view the garden view !!!!!!! well was not and not nice...... thats why we changed rooms
