Fine selection of seafood, excellent wine and the staff was just like family.
The restaurant is located in a peaceful neighborhood where you can feel really at home.
Food is outstanding, try crab and a mix of seafood, a must visit in Nairobi.

I think that in Tamarind I had one of my best dinner of my life.
The manager and the waiters were super nice and really kind. The ambient and the restaurant itself are fancy and like an oasis in Nairobi.
We eat a super pro seafood, we tried spanish octopus, crab and a mix of seafood that was dreamed. If you like wine you can tried a very good red one from the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, it's always good to try local things.
Like I said in the title, Tamarind is a must in Nairobi, don't miss it.

Thank Ju An A

This restaurant is a bit of a drive for the city centre but it's worth it, for the food and the service which is a cut above the other restaurants we visited in Nairobi.

The restaurant's speciality is seafood though they do have some red meat as well. The tamarind laksa with mixed seafood was incredible, the curry flavours were nicely balanced and the quality of the seafood for excellent. Colleagues also enjoyed the salmon filet. Desserts were nice - though their gimmick of writing your name on the plate isn't necessary given the quality. We also had Kenyan wine with our food which proved to be fine.

Prices are higher than elsewhere but it's worth it.

I had the best experience ever, dinning on top of a dhow, with cool music played by a truly accomplished band! As you enjoy the captivating night view of the coastal city of Mombasa, your meal is being prepared as you watch and served fresh. I will never forget the sea food treat over fine bottle of wine experience I had here.
