Very reminiscent of Zarafa in Botswana. Incredibly luxurious, great staff, small camp (12-14 guests maximum or thereabouts). Mahogany floored tents, great shower, highly ecological (solar hot water, solar power).
The staff are unbelievably great. Hattie and Henry manage and are the chef for the camp. Richard is main waiter. Edwin was our guide. All were incredibly great. The wildlife is incredibly abundant and also incredibly close. We were warned that the lions' roaring will keep one up at night, and the warnings were true! A stay at Mara Plains equates to magical moments, incomparable hospitality, great staff, wonderful guides, living among the wildlife, in the height of luxury and unparalleled accommodation.
Dinner under the stars, sundowners in the bush, prides of lions and their kittens, leopard, cheetah and their kittens (cubs?). Could not have been better.More
