I have no words to describe this great hotel (camp)! The staff was very kind and useful, the accomodation in the tent is the experience that you must tu try and the food was excellent!

We had a wonderful stay at this lodge. We arrived to a welcome glass of juice and an efficient check-in. We were then taken to our Club Tent. We were so glad we spent the extra money for the upgrade--it was huge and nicely decorated and way on the edge of the lodge, very isolated and looking out over the fence into the park. It felt like an incredibly beautiful and private retreat. The facilities are also great. Don't be fooled by the tent idea-we had all amenities. I loved the porch for reading. We had a big bed surrounded by mosquito netting--staff would place a hot water bottle under the covers at night. We also had a huge bathroom with two sinks, plenty of space to spread out, and lots of nice toiletries--loofah, sewing kit, shoe mitts, etc.

We loved sitting with a drink outside the bar. We also tried the pool but found it a bit too cold (it is unheated), but a pleasant place to sit. Walking around is also great--the paths are charmingly bordering on overgrown and look very natural and lush.

The restaurant is good, though here is where you feel how popular and constantly full this lodge is. There were tons of other people at meals, meaning occasional waits to re-fill popular items. Food was very tasty and plentiful though--grilled steaks and lamb chops were great, the Indian stations were always tasty, and I appreciated little touches like a cheese assortment, flavored butters, and some tasty Kenyan dishes to try.

I had such a wonderful time just sitting on our porch, looking out at the park, reading and relaxing. We had a lovely stay.

Room Tip: Club tents are definitely worth it! I liked having a room that was at the back of the lodge and qui...

Excellent in every aspect, but the best about this camp is the staff! I miss sweet Barbara in the dinning room, all the waiters (Joseph) and the girl with the pineapples and tree tomatos !!! Asante sana to all! Jambo
Tents are great, food is fresh, clean and good. The whole camp is amazing!

While planning my trip to Masai Mara with my wife, my efforts on a google search rendered several options but based on the suggestion of a friend in Nairobi,I am glad that we chose Sarova Mara Game Camp for our 3 days-2 nites safari stay. The place is just so amazing in the middle of vast lands of Masai Mara. A grand entry point where you are greeted well and then taken to a lounge for check -in formalities. Post the formalities , we were taken to our tent......and it was a tent only by the outside look. Beautifully done luxurious interiors really refreshed both of us though we had a long journey from Nairobi. The tent had all the amenities which a 5-star hotel can boast of......cozy bed, dressing table, space for keeping luggage, a locker and a walled bathroom as well. The feeling of staying in the tent with all the comforts of a 5-star was unmatched. The hotel also boasts of a wonderful restaurant and specially for both of us who are veggies, we were served well with great vegetarian food. the Indian cuisine expert cook would prepare one vegetarian dish in every meal we had there. All in all, a very satisfying experience both of us had in Sarova Mara.

The tents were amazing and extremely luxurious. The staff were all friendly and helpful and you could see that they were very passionate about their roles at the camp. They went out of their way to organise little competitions such as omlette making and cocktail making, which I thought was a fantastic way to get guests to interact with other. Evening entertainment was plentiful. Food was fantastic and the staff happily fulfilled my request for a small birthday cake and sing along.

Would happily recommend

I had a wonderful and memorable experience in the wild Mara for our honeymoon. We chose to have wonderful time in the wild so we booked Mara Sopa and Mara Sarova. I must say my wife and I really enjoyed the food and the hospitality of the staff. We stayed in Tent 63 which is on the edge. Almost next to the fence. It was quiet peaceful and relaxing.
The rooms were very clean and this made us enjoy our stay. The sound of birds, cricket, and other animals was soothing and a little scary especially for the wild animals.

Our experience one night as we were heading for dinner, we had some motion in the bushes as we were scared to "death". We asked for security escort to our room only to meet Topi.

Mara Sopa hyena feeding experience was exciting experience.

After having spent two weeks working on building projects in central Kenya, I was ready for a bath and some good food. The Sarova Mara far exceeded any expectations that I had about 'tent' camps. Upon arrival, we were greeted and taken directly to the outstanding lunch buffet while our bags were transported to our tents. The food, the scenary, the grounds and the accomodations are all superb; the Sarova might be the best place I have ever stayed, since I normally travel on a tight budget. While we paid a resonable price for our 3 nights stay, the Sarova is anything but budget.
Not only is the food exquisite and the atmosphere divine, but the poolside relaxation was heaven-sent.

Room Tip: Tents 9-11 are at the far end of the property and allow for more privacy. You can also hear the anim...
