Hotel really needs to reinforce customers from smoking inside their room. Not only does the hallway smell like it, the rooms as well. The stay was average, room was clean but nothing else was a big plus.

Stayed at the Aloft Beijing for 10 nights in March. Stayed on SPG Points and with my young family. Service was excellent. Staff very helpful. Cleaning staff were excellent and helpful with small requests. Food ok. The FourPoints is right next door, so food variety is always close at hand. A couple of issues with the facilities .. Hot water controls, carpet cleanliness, funky smells from prior stays,etc.. Yet the big one was .. you are unable to change the temperature in the room. Yes that is right, the room temperature is set for you centrally .. At 26 degrees during our stay. There is no way to control it except open a small window .. Which did not help. Was like a sauna and we faced the sunny side so it was really bad. After calling up several times and trying to get to the bottom of the reason. We decided to change hotels as it was that bad. I first called SPG in the US .. There was no way they could help. Finally got the GM of the hotel to answer my call as we about to checkout. He was super helpful and understood our situation yet was unable to do anything as it was "hotel policy". He and all the staff agreed with the issue and as I was discussing the matter on checkout another guest made the same complaint. Just prior to moving hotels the GM had a solution .. He moved us to a room that was nt facing the sun and suggested with turn off the air conditioner whilst at the same time opening the windows. We tried this for a night and it was ok so we stayed. Even with the fact that we had no control over our own environmental conditions in the room .. The staff were amazing and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Dear Micharr,

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at the Four Points by Sheraton Beijing, Haidian Hotel & Serviced Apartments with us.

Every process put in place is aimed at providing you with an unforgettable hotel experience. From your recent feedback, I am disappointed to learn that we fell short of your expectations.

I would like to take this time to apologize for the Air conditioner issue. Due to the problem of air conditioning circuit, we can only provide a kind of air conditioning at the same time, warm air or cool air. Actually, we've closed all the warm air last week. I sincerely apologize for not being able to meet your requirement. We have reported this issue to the hotel management, and they could pay more attention for this issue.

As a valued customer, thank you again for your feedback about other experience during your stay.

We hope to serve you again whenever your travels bring you back to Beijing.

Sincerely,
Rex Yuan

I stayed with this hotel for the last four years every time when I came to Beijing for a few days with a group of American students and teachers. The staff members are mostly young and trying to be professional and helpful. It runs smoothly and has a feel of the convenient hotels in the US like Best Western and the sort. The facility is simple and comfortable enough with pretty good buffet style breakfast. The area where the hotel located is relatively quiet and convenient to get to restaurant and a mall. There is a small swimming pool which is good for entertaining children and students.

Room Tip: Their rooms are relatively small which makes adding an extra bed for a child may be a issue.

I have stayed in Aloft in the US and different countries in Asia and Europe. This property offers similar experience, which is not always the case with the other international brands in Beijing.

We moved here after checked into another famous hotel in the city, because it offered no heat (in November!), freezing our butts off. Aren't we glad we made the switch.

The location is ok, situated in a very residential part of town in BJ. The room's temperature is comfortable, beds perfect, services adequate. The internet is fast. There is also a huge mall minutes walk from it, with a ton of restaurants.

The only downside is with its breakfast, which is quite lacking in choices and quality, but one can hardly expect more from a mid-tier hotel in China.

Stayed overnight before going to Fragrant Hills park. Its well located near the 360fast bus to the park. The room was great - spacious, clean and comfortable. Way to big for 1 and 2 would be super comfortable. Recommended. I think its much better option that Shangri-la next door as its half the price for good quality
