We can highly recommended Jack, our guide and Tour-Beijing travel company for an unforgettable Jinshanling Great Wall tour experience. Although not the cheapest or the closest section of the wall to Beijing, this tour is well worth its money. The Jinshanling section of the Great Wall is largely unrestored making it more rustic than the more commercial parts of the wall. As it's remote, it is ideal for those who want a less touristy experience and photo opportunities without lots of other tourists in your shot. Jack spoke perfect English and was a wealth of knowledge, not just about the wall but also shared what it's like to live in China from his point of view. The drive from our central Beijing hotel took around two hours in a very comfortable air conditioned up to date vehicle. We were lucky with the weather, hot and very humid. Jack is very professional and did not rush us at all. He made sure that our mixed abilities were catered for with plenty rest and water breaks and lots of photo breaks. Lunch at a local restaurant was lovely and they made extra accomadation for two vegetarian diets. As it was a strenuous hike, especially in the humid weather we all slept on route back to Beijing. As an extra Jack had arranged Kung Fu tickets for the evening and had our driver wait to take us back to our hotel after the show. Any one thinking of booking this tour can do so with the reassurance that we would book it again without hesitation.

Three of us spent the day (8 hours) touring Beijing with Dirk. He knows a lot about the sites and speaks English very well. We all agreed that we learned so much more having a private guide point things out to us that we would not have noticed on our own. Beats using the audio guides that did not work very well at some of the other attractions that we visited. Also he is a good photographer and made sure to email me the pictures he took back to the States. I would highly recommend this tour.

My husband, daughter and I all had a wonderful day touring the Hutong with Lisa. As we walked along the Hutong, she shared facts about the area with humor and attentiveness. She taiored the tour for our interests and showed us things she knew we would enjoy. We learned to make dumplings with a family and enjoyed a fantastic lunch, again with Lisa overseeing and making sure we were having a great time. Finally, we ended the tour with a trip up the Drum Tower. Lisa slightly rearranged the order of our day so we could enjoy the performance in the Drum Tower, at my daughters request. Thank you Lisa, and also to Leo for driving us to all of our destinations!

We had a great time in Beijing - I'm convinced that having a guide is the best way to do it, and Jack was excellent. With Jack, we were able to skip many of the very long lines. We had 4 adults and two children in our group, and visited the Great Wall, Tianamen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Hutongs, Bell and Drum Towers, and some other things that I'm not remembering off the top of my head. Jack was very knowledgeable and took lots of time to tell us about the history of the different places. We even asked him to order food for us at various restaurants and he did an excellent job of that. When a young child left something behind in the Hutong area, he went back along our path and found it for us. We scheduled a couple of shows, and he booked our tickets and made sure we got excellent seats. Jack coordinated with our driver and immediately at the end of each attraction, the driver was ready and waiting to take us to the next location. It was important to Jack and our driver that we were having a good time, and that we were well taken care of. I can recommend this service without any hesitation.

Overall, we would strongly recommend this tour.
We began the day in Tiananmen Square, finding out about the history surrounding the square. Then moved to the Forbidden City, in which we saw numerous areas of the city, with our tour guide Jack explaining the history and culture significance of each part. Finally our tour finished with the Great Wall, in which we visited the Mutianyu Section of the wall, this provided a quiet area in which we were able to get some great photos as well as Chairlift up and Toboggan down.
When organizing the tour, the office staff were very efficient via emails and replied within a day to all emails despite the time difference.
Our guide Jack was very knowledgeable and friendly, with fantastic English. He was very well organised, arriving 15 mins early for the tour and pre-booking all attractions to save on wait times. He knew the best places to take pictures and despite the day being busy, we didn't feel rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
The driver was also friendly and provided us with water which was greatly appreciated given the heat.
Finally, this is a tour we will never forget and we will always have some great memories of China.
