Pros: Price, location, cleanliness, breakfast.
Cons: No buffet restaurant for dinner.

This is a great hotel close to business district in Beijing. Very clean with modern furniture and amenities. The lobby is not huge (common in other hotels), but who needs a big lobby anyways? The staff on front desk speak English and will help you finding taxis and other information you need. Be aware that upon check-in you need a credit card and a deposit of 1000Yean per night will be charged.
- Rooms: The rooms are modern and the carpet makes a crackling noise when you walk on it. It is not dirty! It is just the lining they used under the carpet, believe me. The gym has one treadmill, a bicycle, and many simple weight lifting equipment. Go to 4th floor, walk through Salon and ask at the mini reception desk about the gym and they will take you there. WIFI is decent if comparing with other hotels (remember it is not North America). Forget about Facebook and Google, no go. The Evian water bottle for 45Yuan is outrageous, don’t drink it! Behind the hotel there is a coffee shop called Costa that has water for 20 or across the street in small shops for 4 Yuen!!!!!
- Restaurant: The breakfast buffet is good enough with small salad bar, bacon, toast, coffee, tea and Chinese food (great value for included breakfast with stay). The same restaurant becomes “a la carte” restaurant for lunch and dinner with a lot of North American options, like pizzas, pasta, steak, salad, soups, and great red wine.
- Location: There are many malls within 10-15 minute walk, north-west of the hotel, where you can find Starbucks, Subway, KFC, Burger King and others. Just across the main road there is a gallery of small shops that has a Starbucks and fast food chain called ZKungFu. Food is cheap anywhere! There are two tiny produce shops with good fruit and cheap water bottles. If you like walking or want to go for a run (like me) you can go west for 6km and visit Forbidden City. If you go south for 7.5km Temple of Heaven. North West there is Temple of Sun which is a beautiful small park, just 2.5km away (25 min walk). West of it is what I call “little Russia” with lots of Russian shops and malls for 2-3 blocks. Dongyue close by temple is awesome! Very peaceful with no crowds and relics from around 1200AD.

- Tips: 1-Be careful when crossing the street, cars and electric bicycles have the right of way, always. green/red men light does not apply.
2-This is China, no one is required to speak English, always be polite and say Nihao and Chie-chie and people will always smile back.
3-When you check in, your room card comes in a little envelope that has the hotel address and little map on it. Keep this envelope! Wherever you go, bring it with you and if you hop into any cab, just give the paper to the driver and he will find his way to the hotel.
4- People smoke everywhere! So, ask for Non-smoking room and in restaurants try to sit in non-smoking areas.

Happy Travel

Room Tip: Request Non-Smoking Room. Internet will be slow, be patient.

The hotel ambiance is to cool and the room is occupied with all the services. the hotel is very near to central business park. the hotel staff do not speak English. its too bad as this hotel is mainly for the foreign business people but the staff cannot understand the English.

The internet connection ins the hotel is to to bad. its take ages to load the website. I believe its not the issue with the hotel internet but in entire china. Facebook and youtubes are blocked in China. Overall god experience but not without internet connection.

Four stars hotel (three stars based on western standards) with a good location near the metro. The rooms are nicely renovated and have all the modern equipments. Communication in English with the staff is tough. One morning, there was no water available and it was impossible to take a shower.

Room Tip: Take a room on the South side. Choose a high floor. The view is very nice.

Hotel is next to my office which is super convenient. Apparently it just got refurbished last month so although the lobby only looks like a 4 start hotel, the room is 4.5 stars at least. Room is slightly small but cosy. Bathroom concept is modern with glass looking out. Room has a window that opens and although my room can see the expressway, I can't hear the traffic with the window closed. Breakfast is fairly chinese style but enough for me. Do bear in mind that the room rate has increased after the renovation. Area around hotel has lots of eateries so quite convenient. Staff struggled with English and I spare them by indicating I understand Chinese. Staff were pretty curt when I did the checkout, she asked if I wanted the "fa piao" - official receipt in China and I said no but all she pass me after was my credit card statement and I told her I need the itemized invoice/receipt or else I can't claim from my company and she snapped and say "didn't you say you didn't want the fa piao?". Hello...even if I changed my mind, I am the guest!

The hotel is built into a drab office building in a drab area of Beijing. The price is reasonable, but really not worth it.
Quality of breakfast was poor, the room very dated (1950's style furnishings, and most of them damaged).

Pool was closed when i was there, with a heavy metal chain wrapped round the door.
