And friend and myself were recommended this trip and tour guide through others and it was a brilliant trip. Leo was friendly and very helpful over the phone. I was impressed with how quickly we could organize the trip. He explained everything in detail and would answer all questions in English.
We chose to organize a driver to pick us up from the hostel, drive us out to Jiànkòu, leave us to our hike along the Great Wall, pick us up at Mùtiányu and drive us back home. This is a great way to see original unrestored parts of the wall with no one else around you other than the occasional bird or squirrel. The hike takes about 4-5 hours depending on fitness level and how many photos one takes. At the end we enjoyed the toboggan ride down into the valley where our driver picked us up again.
We will definitely do this trip again soon.

Leo was a fantastic, interesting, charismatic guide who led us on this interesting tour through the Hutongs and introduced us to an eccentric man who fights crickets, which was really interesting. The best part, was tour was free and no hard sell gimmicks, just a request to write a review.

Leo was a great tour guide! He planned the trip well (ie: avoiding traffic jam, etc) which made it went very smoothly. He explained a bit about the Great Wall and China history along the way. Leo was also accommodating to our requests to stop for lunch before heading back to hotel. Besides the tour, Leo also provide ticket booking for Peking Opera and Acrobatic show.

Beijing is HUGE, and when you have limited time, it's difficult to make the most of what Beijing has to offer. Leo understood this and took us to the best that Beijing has to offer - Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace. Many of our fellow tourists say that you need at least a day for the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace so imagine having to do it all in one day.

Leo took us to the best of each of these places without cutting any corners. During the tour, he walked with us and told us all the back stories of each attraction, with a very cultural and local twist; which is truly a masterstroke. He translated many of the Chinese text on the attraction and told us how locals viewed each place. It is comforting to know, for example, that retirees visit the Temple of Heaven to play cards as a way to pass the time. He truly brought Beijing to life.

Also, when we liked something during the tour (a tea set), Leo spoke to the manager and arranged for it to be delivered to our hotel after the tour so we don't have to lug it around with us as we visit each attraction. No that's personal service!

I am from Indonesia. Went to Beijing with my wife and a friend in early November 2014. With all stories about tour scams in Beijing made us afraid to go anywhere far from the hotel. Then I got recommendation to take a one-day tour to Great wall and Ming Tomb which guaranteed by the hotel that the tour guide would not force us to buy anything. Even with a doubt, we managed to take it. Turned out it was very pleasant tour! Leo didn’t do as we afraid of. His knowledge about china history is awesome, Leo knows the details and tells the story in a fun way. Never looked tired answering repetitive questions from his group. Unlike other local people in beijing, Leo speaks english perfectly, very fluent and clear pronunciation. What we liked, even though we were in a group of 16 people, it felt like we were in a private tour! I will absolutely recommend him to all my friends who are gonna go to Beijing.

We had two days to explore Beijing with Leo as our guide. He is very punctual, communication was clear and he speaks perfectly english! He is flexible about the schedule and our wishes; we saw the great wall, summer palace, temple of heaven, tianemensquare, hutongs and old beijing, silk factory, jade factory, forbidden city and much more. The transport he arranged was perfect (mini-van with safe drivers) and the included lunches were of high quality as well. Leo knows a lot about history and told us many stories I will never forget: the emperor with his concubines and the dragon Lady! Furthermore, he helped s out with advice about the best peking-duck restaurant and helped us with getting a chinese simcard and arranged a shuttle to the train station. Leo made our Beijing experience terrific, would highly recommend Leo as your tour guide!

Leo speaks fluent English and is a knowledgeable tour guide. He was able to be fun, while giving the group members space to explore on their own. We toured Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace. After our tour, he explained the subway system to my friend and I, which really helped us navigate Beijing the rest of our trip!
Highly recommend Leo as a tour guide!

I was in China during the first week of August as part of a nine member delegation from Seychelles. We spent four great days in Beijing courtesy of Leo! There was never a dull minute with the guy. First he taught us some basic madarin and had us in stitches with tips on how to remember and pronounce words and phrases such as "thank you" and "you are welcome". He is a walking encyclopedia of Chinese history and uses humour to great effect. I will never forget the emperor with the 3000 concubines plus one wife or the dragon lady! Leo made our tour of The Great Wall, the Forbidden Palace, the Summer Palace and Tianamen Square such great fun. He also knows where all the great restaurants are and dishes out expert tips on negotiating tactics with vendors. If you want the best guide in Beijing, you want Leo!

We are from the USA, but live in Singapore. On our visit to China, we connected up with Leo for 2 days of a private tour. Saw the usual sights (Great Wall, forbidden City, etc). He made the trips fantastic with loads of facts, stories, and general banter).

He also took us to off the beaten path for inexpensive but tasty food. Finally, he was very flexible to our schedule.

Would use him again and recommend him to others.
