Owner description: Sai Kung is a small fishing village with picturesque boats, beaches and mountain scenery. The fresh seafood is plentiful and there are many dining options and wine bars along the seaside promenade. A day at the beach here makes for a nice change of pace from Hong Kong.

It's not so expensive, but not cheap either. Eat seafood there, ask for the price. Remember fishes there counter /600gr. not /1Kg. The rest just ask before order, and apparently they don't really play around with the pricing. Tough competition I guess.

Bring someone who can speak Cantonese, as most of them unable to speak English except the restaurant manager.

I will be back definitely.

This is an archipelago of islands - you can hike through the hills (maybe I should refer to them as untouched mountains), to get to your own private beach at the other side. Alternately you can hire a local Sampa to give you a ride! Riding in one of those through the waves is an experience in itself (have a strong stomach!)

If you love seafood you will love Sai Kung - all the restaurants along the sea serve the freshest seafood, also a quieter side of Hong Kong as well.... People can chill along the sea side, fishing or simply have some food or a drink in the restaurant or sit outside the restaurant!

There is a nice dessert place around the area as well - my favourite is mango sago dessert!
