We visited One Dim Sum following a night tour on the Crystal Bus, which included dim sum from this restaurant. We had read about long waits but at about 5.30pm the wait was 10 minutes. Seats are provided whilst you wait outside and the time is used to browse the menu and note your order on a slip of paper by dish number. A menu is provided with pictures and names of dishes in many languages. The food came very quickly and Chinese tea is provided in mugs which are refilled frequently. Note the tea is HK$4 so if you dont want it stop your mug being filled the first time. The food was absolutely delicious and we are looking forward to a return visit. The location is a bit confusing as although the address is 15 Playing Field Road, the shop front is actually round the corner on Tung Choi St.
Easy to get to by MTR (Prince Edward station and 5 min walk) or bus 1 or 1A from Star Ferry or Nathan Road. Get off on Tung Choi St behind Mong Kok Police Station and the restaurant is directly in front of the bus across the cross roads ahead.
Enjoy!

Unlike the other recent reviews, we had to wait a long time to get into the restaurant. When we got there, there was a long line but we assumed that there would be one. You wait out on the sidewalk because the restaurant is tiny. We thought it would be a half hour wait at most. We were wrong. It was more like an hour. We went back to the hostess and checked several times so that may have gotten us in when we did. You do fill out your order form before you enter so once you are seated your food comes out pretty quickly. This is not a place to dine. They went you in and out. The food is great and it is certainly cheap enough. If I ever return, I would try and go at an off time so the wait wouldn't be so long. I only gave it four stars because of the wait.

Amazing food and only a 20 minute wait (which we used to choose all the delicious items from the menu). Service was great, as they bring out the food as you are eating and top you up with tea while you eat. The price was incredible considering the quality. One of the best meals I had in Hong Kong and is now my yardstick for good Dim Sum.

Take a train to Prince Edward and exit A. It’s just a few mins walk. The Q was not very long when I went on a weekend. Their service are very fast and the dim sum are very yummy. Love the char siew bun and carrot cake the most. Highly recommended for dim sum lovers

We came after reading reviews and weren't disappointed. It's silly how cheap the food was, I'm a big eater and was stuff for under £16. The things we liked to our taste were exceptional, the baked BBQ pork bun was a personal favourite! The chicken bun and pork dimsum weren't great for us but that was down to preference. Wanted to come back for more but had no time, shame!
