Five stars are clearly not enough for the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. The hotel is just beautiful as are the rooms with outstanding views of the harbor and Kowloon. But all of that pales when compared with the outstanding and truly caring service I received.
I injured my hand in a freak bus accident at Hong Kong airport just before my arrival. Fortunately I had arranged for a car service from the hotel. The service met me at the gate ( they are cleared to be there ) and brought me to my car. First we took a bus to border control where the accident occurred. Assisting me with my bags was just the first step. On arrival at the hotel the staff had been notified of my injury and 4 staff members magically appeared bringing first aid, a beautiful bucket of ice, hot green tea and arranging for dinner at the hotel. In addition they obtained splints at a nearby pharmacy which allowed me to both ice and protect my hand. Vivian Law and Vivian Wong were both outstanding as were all other staff and the wait staff at the restaurant at the hotel.
I could not be more grateful for this exceptional service and care. Thank you !More
