This was our second trip together to Hong Kong. (My wife used to fly a HK route for United has been here more times than she cares to remember). My wife suggested the Conrad for its very central location in HK. I was a bit resistent because the Conrad is a fairly traditional hotel and my tastes run more to the modern (think Four Seasons). I'm glad she prevailed.

The Conrad is in fact very centrally located. Though it has been opened for some time you simply would never know it as it has been meticulously maintained. This place is spotless. If you told me that it was built 5 years ago I would not argue save for a couple of minor (to us) details. The baths are a little small for a modern 5 star and the lighting systems a little unusual and not very intuitive.

Other than these rather small quibbles we really enjoyed our stay. We stay primarily in 5-star hotels world wide and so have something to compare it to. It measured up in all regards - service, amenities, ambiance, beautiful and very comfortable common areas, high end wood and stone finishes, food quality, etc.

The service in particular is what you would expect from a high-end major metropolitan 5-star. Everyone we interacted with was polite and attentive without being obsequious, knew their job and how to go about carrying it out quickly and accurately. For a Westerner traveling in Asia language is sometimes a problem (even in English speaking Hong Kong). This was never an issue at the Conrad.

I've stayed in at least one other property here - also a 5-star - and while its style is more to my taste, the next time we come to HK I'll book the Conrad.

One last item of mention. Great value for the money. We had a corner one-bedroom suite with a great harbor and Kowloon view on the 46th floor for about 750 US per night. This was about $400 per night below the other property. Because I am Hilton Gold they were kind enough to comp us breakfast for 3 (we were traveling with my wife's 13 Y.O.) and a welcome drink in their lounge. A nice touch.

The title of the review says it all. The hotel is excellent - from the airport meet and greet transfer service, the check in service and the dining options available.

The location of the hotel is just great - there is a shopping mall underneath the hotel - you just press LL3 in the elevator and you arrive in the osasis of luxury underneath. It is also less than a 5 minute walk from the peak tram station. You have to walk through some beautiful gardens to get to the stop - could not be more pleasant.

The hotel staff are very, very friendly and nothing is too much for them. They will help you plan your day trip or walking trip. I took my elderly parents in law there and they advised us which place was the best to see the laser show in the evening.

The rooms are impeccable - everything you would expect really from a hotel of this calibre.

The buffet dining in the main lobby was generous on its first class offering and was not too expensive for the offering (around 300 HK each with drinks).

The Club Lounge on the 59th Floor has breath taking views of the harbour. The staff and service here could not be better.

Overall, an excellent hotel for tourist travellers and indeed business travellers alike. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Executive Floor rooms have access to Club Lounge and the amazing views!

Took a getaway with my young adult daughter, originally trip was with my husband unfortunately an accident to his knee and surgery prevented him to fly. We had a wonderful time and it started at the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the friendly and accommodating staff from reception, conceirege, cashier, doormen, housekeeping and the exceptional staff in executive lounge. This hotel respectivefully will go out of their way to make you feel completely satisfied primarily if English is your source of language. The location is superb! The transportation is most convenient, sensational shopping and restaurants including the hotels fine restaurants makes this a completely satisfying choice. The attractions that makes Hong Kong spectaular is all assessible. We so enjoyed the double decker bus rides to various parts of the city ...and a must is Stanley Market. All public transportation is attached to lower part of hotel to Pacific Place. Must try the cafe buffet restaurant..delicous. The room is cozy the bathroom has beautiful marble decor and the view is breathtaking...you must experience!

Stayed in this hotel in March 2011 for 3 nights and it was a great stay. Service was excellent. Location was convenient. MTR station right beneath the hotel. 2 stations away from Central and 1 station away from Causeway Bay. The station where this hotel is located is Admiralty. Loads of branded boutiques so those looking for shopping this is a good hotel to stay. But make sure your have a few of your credit cards ready :-)!

Couldn't find faults with this hotel. Highly recommend.

Amazing hotel with fantastic views. Location is pretty good and close enough to city (10 min walk) for business. Hotel is a bit large and soulless but service is fantastic and executive floor amazing. Used this extensively and between the free drinks and internet and guest entertaining, it was well worth the extra $. Breakfast in the lounge was a bit ordinary - go downstairs to the garden cafe. Lovely to walk in HK gardens next door. Bed is perpendicular to TV making it hard to watch TV from bed and chair was uncomfortable to sit in.

Overall wondeful but oh so expensive!

Room Tip: Exec floor worth the extra
