We don't bother with any other of the restaurants along the road as this is the best one! We have been coming here for so long they recognise us and we always receive great treatment.
Their seafood is wonderful and they have a special seafood menu which we have never understood, but we always have a great time here and the prawns as the best I've ever eaten.

After a walk around the island. Looking for a seafood lunch. Very friendly Aunty showing you the food menus. She gave us a honest feeling. So we came in, HK$198 and you got to chose any 4 types of seafood in the menus. Extreme reasonable price for fresh seafood. Is a must to pop by!

This is the second time I went to this restaurant and every time we ordered a set dinner for 4 people (being only 3 persons). For the set you may select any 6 dishes on their menu and of course we selected all seafood items. This last visit we ordered clams, razor clams, fried calamari, steamed shrimps with minced garlic, fried crab with garlic and steamed scallops. The dishes are always very tasty and the portions are very generous. Additionally, we ordered a fried rice and morning glory vegetables. We were 3 persons only but finished all the 8 dishes and we paid around HKD 550 (including 2 bottles of beers). The set for 4 persons was only HKD 398 (aprox. USD 50). Always call for booking, specially on the weekends!

We discovered this wonderful restaurant about two years ago and went back many times. There are a lot of harbor front restaurants on Cheung Chau Island, who all try to persuade you to come in. One of the ladies at this restaurant named Fung, approached us really friendly and took the time to explain the menu options to us in English. We went for it and have now become regular customers.

They have set menu's and á la carte options. A set menu for 2 is 198 Hong Kong Dollar, giving you the choice of 4 dishes. The menu comes with tea and they also sell a wide range of beers and soft drinks. This friendly family owned restaurant is very popular, so sometimes you have to wait for a table. But the quality of the food is definitely worth the waiting.

The beef in chili oil, steamed fish and scallops are some of the really good options in the wide range of choices in the set menu. On busy days, the staff runs in and out continuously with dishes, which might seem a little chaotic, but that is part of the Hong Kong charm of this restaurant. The staff are really friendly and always make you feel welcome, no matter how busy they are.

So Bor Kee is towards the end of the restaurant strip facing the water. Coming from the ferry pier, go left and keep walking. You will pass the recycling center on the right and enter the last section of restaurants. So Bor Kee is in the middle of this section with the name printed on a yellow sign.

Highly recommended!

there are a number of restaurants on cheung chau and I just happened to pick this one. Nice cold beer with an ice bucket was good on a hot day. Then the meals, chose the prawns with vegetables and fried squid with spicy salt. The prawns were good but the squid was the standout, so well cooked and tasty.
