While worth visiting, a visit to Tsim Sha Tsui can be overwhelming. Nathan St in particular is wall to wall people and the high end Gucci,Rolex etc shops repeat endlessly resulting in little diversity. You'll also be asked repeatedly to buy a suit or knock off watch which looses its novelty quickly. Better to stick to Kowloon Park or the side streets for a better experience.

This area consist of bunch of hotel, cheap hostel (you can sneak peak at Mirador Mansion, Chunking Mansion, & my favorite is Golden Crown Court), restaurants, cafes (really loves Mammy Pancake but the queue makes my head spinning), mall (Harbour City, 1881 Heritage, Silvercord, K11, Sogo, etc), & of course Avenue of the Stars (take some photos with celebrity statues & waiting for lamps show at night).

China Bar, Knutsfords Terrace, Tsim Sha Tsai are shonky operators avoid at all costs. Had to pay $66 for water during their happy hour. Spoilt our trip to Hong Kong and the tourist board should get operators like the China Bar run out of town. A disgrace to the good people of Hong Kong.

One could write-a-book or spend-a-lifetime discussing Tsim Sha Tsui or, as it is more commonly called, TST. I have several favorite places I like to stay in TST. The Salisbury Road YMCA, the Homy Inn, or even in one of the numerous Hotels within the Chungking Mansions. There is Kowloon Park and too many restaurants to possibly count. You can walk the TST side of Victoria Harbor and look across at Hong Kong Island. K11 is but one of the enormous shopping malls. Harbor City. Silvercord Centre. iSQUARE.

I have been going to / visiting / staying in Tsim Sha Tsui since October of 1990.

Lots of activity so much so you can get lost. You have to get a good idea of where you are going FIRST -- by studying maps.

Makes a big difference if you are prepared...
