“Another great experience with my favourite hotel”
Reviewed 28 October 2011

i stayed at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental at the end of a business trip earlier this month. Service, presentation of staff, quality of furnishings, ambiance, room service, the bed, fitness & spa facilities, the note from hotel manager to welcome me back...everything was excellent and inline with my previous visits. In short this is an outstanding hotel and given the choice, I would not choose to say anywhere else.

Great hotel. One of new favorites in Hong Kong. Does not have the unrestricted view of other 5 star hotels, but makes up for it with great bedrooms, great service and staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Also has good location for shopping and the ferries

This is a sister hotel to the wonderful Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong and it serves the reputation held by Mandarin very well.
The room we had was a "superior" (not sure what that meant) and was excellent in every way. Very contemporary style, wonderful bed, large bathroom with huge shower rose and a jacuzzi style large bath.
Nice sitting area, two flat screen TVs, mini bar, safe, IPhone/pad connections to TV and audio and electrical adaptors in the room.
Fantastic feature restaurant - Amber and great bar/bistro as well.
Highly recommend this hotel - fantastic staff.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The rooms, food, service but my absolute highlight was the Rasul in the spa

Arrival - Meet and Greet service was excellent whisking you on a golf cart to the immigration counter (which can get very busy at times), pass immigration, your bags are waiting for you with the greeter whom then takes you to your waiting Mercedes S Class. Got welcomed at the entrance of the hotel and then in-room check-in.

Room - Got upgraded to the L600 room. Great room, good closet space, comfortable bed and spectacular bathroom with every amenity one can think of. Only negative points are the both the televisions in the room work together displaying the same channel, and also as you might know their is no view. (If you want the postcard view stay on Kowloon side at the Intercontinental).

Service - Great concierge especially Kristina Snaith whom knows the city and planned our whole itinerary for us.

Dining - Breakfast was ok, nothing WOW and we had it included in our tariff. However if you wanted an omelet with a filling their was a surcharge which was absurd. Also went to Manwah at the Mandarin Oriental which was a very good experience especially the roast duck.

Overall - Very good and very expensive however worth every penny.

Room Tip: L600 Series and above

The service at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental is impeccable. Other service oriented businesses should study it as an example. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The spa is excellent both in facilities and the therapists. And the food is good, if expensive, but that would be expected. Also the location is central. Only negatives are that the halls are dark and there are no views from the rooms. So if you want a harbor view this isn't the place, but if you want a central location with clean, comfortable rooms and outstanding service from absolutely every single person who works at the hotel, look no further. Would most definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Landmark MO from July 16-17, 2011. Upon entering the hotel, I was warmly greeted by their doorman (too bad I didn't get his name) who did well beyond his duties to assist and guide me all throughout my check-in. Although my request for an early check-in and check-out were not granted due to their full occupancy at the time, I was surprised to find out ONLY AFTER my trip that I was upgraded to their L600 room from my original L450 room reservation. Don't be confused, L600 & L450 are what they call their room types.

The L600 rooms were awesome. Very clean, spacious, well maintained and state-of-the-art. What you see in the website pictures are exactly what you will get upon seeing your room. Probably the best room I've ever stayed at in Hong Kong. Given the choice, I would have never left the room my entire stay, too bad I had business to attend to.

Now I usually never enjoy room service, but because I was running late and couldn't get out for lunch, I decided to quickly get food served in. Again, LMO didn't fail me. Their cheeseburger, LMO cheesecake and tom yum were perfect. I can come back here only for the food.

Needless to say, but I'll be back here again this coming November. I think I've finally found my Hong Kong hotel.
