“A magical stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2012

We stayed for three nights in march 2012 (me , my wife and my 10 yr old son). We stayed in park view room for 3 days and enjoyed every bit of hospitality the hotel has to offer. everyone in the hotel is very polite and extra helpful. We booked a garden view room and got a very good room with a king size bed. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. The next three days in the hotel just passed as we are in some magical land. room jacuzzi tub was the place where my son spent his evening time. The indoor swimming pool is also very good. The princess at the hotel lobby , mickey , goofy at breakfast time ... just magical .

Room Tip: Take garden view rooms if you are with kids and sea view if you are a couple.

Was rather an impeccable stay except allocation of room . we book 4 adult but was assign with 2 super single bed. Quite a feat to have a good rest. Toilet was spacious, you have a stand shower, but tub and still ample space. Design of the room was very impressive; a place to put your shoes, even a little dresser which is not a part of toilet!

Breakfast was not very fancy but make up by having Disney character around

This time we visited Hong Kong for the Disneyland Park, so easy access was a key factor when choosing a hotel. Moreover, the rooms were large enough to accommodate our whole family with two children: if we had chosen to stay in downtown, we would apparently have needed two rooms with a cost similar or higher than in the Disney hotel. We stayed in a Sea View room, which was quite comfortably large for the whole family with its two double beds.If we had wanted to do other things in Hong Kong, this hotel would not have been a great choice,

On a March Saturday afternoon there was no queue at the reception and it was easy to buy the Disneyland Park tickets right there, We booked the room from the hotel web site and breakfast was not included, so we had to buy it at the reception. The breakfast buffet in the "Enchanted Garden" with photo opportunities with Disney characters was reasonable value with a wide choice of Chinese, Western, Japanese and Indian dishes.

The room was what we expected based on the pictures in the hotel web site,
The tub bath was nice, but the safety box would not have been big enough for a 17" laptop.

The very low-key DIsney theming in the hotel was actually something of a disappointment.
I would have preferred to see more...

Surprisingly the room service menu appeared to have better prices and a wider choice than the hotel restaurants, so we ended up using it for a late supper. The service was quicker than promised, and the food was tasty.

The outdoor pools were closed for maintenance from January to March, but the indoor pool was fun enough being heated to 30 degrees Celcius. The life-guard on duty was very helpful, but the overall arrangements with the outside dressing rooms etc. were quite confusing.

The prices in the hotel gift shop were surprisingly cheap, and we bought several Disney-branded items from there.

Overall this hotel was a bit expensive, but provided what we expected.
We stayed in a downtown hotel on our first visit to Hong Kong Disneyland.
That was kind of tolerable with one child, but it would have been quite painful
with two children - now it was really nice to have a short free bus transfer from
the park when the kids were worn out after a long day.

The most disconcerting thing about the hotel is its wake up call. When you are there for a conference, the last thing you want to hear is Mickey Mouse on the phone reminding you of what the time is "PAL". Surely there must be a way of not frightening adult guests with Mickey. Otherwise the beds are comfortable, room well equipped, but maybe not the best place to stay for a conference.

Room Tip: Away from all the children dressed up with their expensive Disney gear - if that is possible

We stayed at this hotel for one night during the weekend to celebrate our daughter's 5th birthday. Based on some other reviews I read here, I reserved a room in the Kingdom Club floor with a 2-day Disney pass package. Even though the room is more expensive, but it provides access to a lounge area that provides breakfast (reasonable selection), snacks and drinks, and evening cocktails and appetizers, which is well worth the extra price. We can see the firework from there at 8pm, followed by bedtime story time for the kids (Mandarin, Cantonese, and English). A Disney character (for us it's Mickey) will then come out to let you take pictures with him/ her. There are also "princesses" in the lobby from time to time for pictures. The one thing that our daughter loved is the "my little princess" dress up and photo shoot. We did it the morning of the day we are checking out, and our daughter wore the princess dress to the Disney park the rest of the day and had a blast. People actually waved and took picture of her! The hotel also gave her a birthday batch to wear so everyone was saying happy birthday to her as well. But parents, beware of the expensive photo trap. The dress up package include one 8x10 photo only, and they will try to lure you to purchase additional photos/ album/ keychain at a very high price. So you may want to do this step with your daughter tucked away so they don't beg you to buy them. The hotel has many other facilities (pool, gym etc) that we don't have time to try, as we are spending both days at the park. Our kids had a lot of fun (including our 2.5 year old son), a great family vacation for the kids though it's quite tiring for the parents. Overall, a nice experience!

Room Tip: Go for the Kingdom Club floor for access to the lounge. We requested a king bed and the room has ni...
