We went to Disneyland Hong Kong for our daughter's birthday and chose to stay at this hotel. Full marks to Disney for paying attention to the smallest of details. We had chosen a sea view room and the view was extremely nice. Shuttle service to the Disneyland Park was The breakfast was the best part of the stay with the Disney characters paying a visit to each and every table. For our daughter, the highlight of the stay was getting to meet the Princess Cinderella character in the hotel lobby.

We stayed 4 nights here as part of our honeymoon. Words really can't describe how beautiful this hotel is! Full of all the details that make Disney such a magical place. I loved looking at the artwork, finding hidden Mickeys, and taking in the old world charm of the place. My husband spent a great deal of time just hanging out in the lobby reading a book, listening to the pianist, and people watching (especially when the princesses were out for greetings).

When we first arrived we were swooped upon by bell staff who took our luggage and delivered to our room when we were checked in. The check in process was straight forward and quick. The cast member was also able to activate our annual passes, which it said needed to be done at the park gates - it did take a little while to organise that.

The room we were checked into was beautiful, and looked out over the garden to the sea (we had booked a garden view room), however the smell was horrific (I hadn't thought to book a non-smoking room). I called to request a room change and within 10 minutes we were being shown to our new room. It had the same beautiful details, and came with a balcony, but overlooking the carpark. Still, we were happy to have the balcony with fresh air. We ended up having a partial view of the fireworks which was obstructed by a tree. The rooms have a subtle Snow White theme, particularly evident in the well appointed bathrooms, complete with 7 dwarf themed toiletries.

We visited Walt's cafe a few times, for breakfast and dinner. Most times we were happy with the service and food, but felt it was a bit expensive for what it was. The butter chicken was the best meal I'd had for a long time. We also had a character breakfast at the Enchanted Garden, which was disappointing. There was a good variety of yummy food, but only 4 characters, and a lot of tables for them to visit. We expected more for the money (and it wasn't just a Disney thing, we felt our character breakfast in Anaheim was much better value for money).

The pool was closed for maintenance while we were there, and it was really too cold for swimming anyway. It looked lovely though, complete with waterslide. The indoor pool looked nice too, but is pretty small. We didn't get a chance to try out the spa or anything. The gardens were beautiful and immaculately kept. It was really nice just walking around checking them out and taking in the sea view. It was a 10-15 minute walk to Disneyland along a beautifully landscaped path with Disney music piped in. We only caught the shuttle a couple of times as we found it crowded and really unnecessary given the proximity of the hotel to the park.

The only complaint I would have about the hotel was a funny scraping noise coming from above us on a couple of nights. I'm not sure what it was, and it wasn't loud, but enough to keep me (a very light sleeper) awake.

Overall, I would say although this hotel is expensive, you get what you pay for, and it's worth every cent if you can afford it!

Room Tip: Make sure you specify non-smoking if you need it

Stayed at the Disneyland Hotel recently and absolutely loved it. We had adjoining rooms which was great. The rooms are great in size and decor. The facilities were great and the kids loved the 3 night stay. Breakfast with the characters was enjoyable and a real treat for the kids. We met Mickey, Daisy, Pluto, Mini and Goofy. Shuttle service to Disney park was every 5 minutes and only took 5 minutes to get there. Service was great and free wifi in the lobby area. Highly Recommended.

This is our first family vacation abroad. We stayed 2 nights in this expensive BUT very beautiful hotel. We arrived there at 12:00 noon straight from the airport. There was a long line for the check-in but the staff took the initiative to assign more people for the check-in counter. We were told that the room will be available at 3:00 pm (check-in time) so we decided visit the park first. We had our luggage safe-keep by the concierge and took a shuttle bus to the park. We came back at around 6:00 pm and went to our room. The room was big with 2 queen-size beds and a nice toilet. My daughter loved the room especially the step stool for kids. It has a big flat screen TV with disney channel in 3 languages. The bed was very comfortable with many soft pillows. The next day we had breakfast at the hotel. The servings were quite small but really taste good. On the second day, we had the buffet breakfast with mickey and friends walking around to take pictures. We took pictures with Mickey, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto. Overall, this is a very nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Though a little bit expensive but the smile on my daughter's face is worth it!

It's a great idea to stay on the club floor - you get buffet breakfast, snacks all day, wine and beer and appetizers at night and you get to see the fireworks from the balcony at 8pm.
Must visit hotel when not crowded. We went twice with no crowds and it was wonderful. Went in April Easter Week and was way too crowded. Buffet food was hard to keep stocked on the club floor restaurant.
Room was nice size and clean. Pool and slide were a big hit. Maze is fun. Beautiful view of the ocean.
