My Brother and I turned up without a reservation on a Sunday night about 7:30, we were seated quickly. I had eaten at a Paradise Dynasty in Bali, so knew what to expect.

We ordered quickly using the form, and then food started to turn up as and when it was ready. We enjoyed all but one dish, we though the food was good, but found better value for money else where.

Been to a couple of dim sum places before (including the famous Michelin star rated ones) but Paradise Dynasty was the best so far. High quality dishes at a moderate pricing in a nice ambient. Will definitely go there again.

My favourite dish at Paradise Dynasty is their Signature Dynasty Xiao Long Bao. Not only is it Instagrammable, it is also delicious. Their signature Dynasty Xiao Long Bao consists of 8 different flavours: Szechuan, Garlic, Cheesy, Ginseng, Crab Roe, Black Truffle, Foie Gras and original and I love them all.

Their other dishes are also good, and the portions are a good size. The restaurant decor is decent and quite popular, so if you are looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the place. However if you want something casual and lively, this restaurant is a great choice.

PARADISE DYNASTY... "paradise" only in the title. There is nothing paradisiac here.
i have been living in hong kong for quite some time now , i m mentioning this first because there if you are not a local they immediately assume you are a tourist.
Which you can really see the difference in their service.
So this is for all of you tourist who wants to eat there.
When you have a restaurant in the middle of times square , you'd think they would make the effort to have someone who speaks a little bit a english . i m not asking much.
If they bring some poached peanut and chestnut to your table and have not asked for it , they will charge you for it. of course still at this time no one from the staff speak a decent amount of english. ( i am a chef and in a restaurant for a table of 6 if you bring nuts without anybody asking anything to go along your drinks it means it goes with it) this restaurant will charge you for it even if you barely tasted them. So 35 dollars for each bowl of nuts that we didn't ask and no one care to mention we are going to get charged for it.
Learn how to take a table order , its not like you didn't had pictures & items numbers. get it right and bring what has been ordered.
how long does it take to make and serve the food. Seriously it is not like you are doing fine dining here. it took forever to be served, everything so spread out it looked like it was served 25% at a time. but even then we didn't get the rice that we ordered because apparently it was not on the paper. And the "greens" that was ordered and we asked for it 3 times got to us 17 min after we finished everything. Of course we sent it back but the waitress still try to convince us in whatever she was mumbling that we have to take it . but no way we were going to take it.
Drinks people, seriously we asked for regulars stuff .
beers and a bottle water with lemon. the lemon never came. we asked 3 different people before the fourth one actually looked at us and said "sure but it is 5 dollars extra" . we said no problem of course but what she meant is 5 bucks for a measly slice of lemon. so we ended up with 15 dollars for 3 thin slices of lemon . the kind of surprise you get at the end of a already bad experience.
Food wise it is ok. nothing exceptional. there "signature" xiao long bao are normal at best. sure the colors are attractive . but that is it.
The egg noodles were very good. and the rest not worth mentioning

So to make it short , worst experience in a dumpling restaurant ever, food is not worth the trip and the hassle of a very bad service .
Especially when the waitress at the end looks at you like you are stupid and says when we asked why the miscellaneous charges on the bill and the 15 bucks for 3 slices of lemon " oh! this is a traditional Chinese restaurant so it is normal..." i didn't let her finish, told her we were not tourist and she could save this speech for someone else.

If you want good food , with a service that is equivalent of the price with no hidden charges. go to DIN TAI FUNG . At least over there it is honest food for honest prices with people attentive to the service.
