Went with my parents as it was a recommendation. The restaurant is part of a so called fisher village. In true it is a concentration of fish mongers and restaurants. The concept is you buy the fish and the restaurant cooks it for you. If you go without knowing the actual fish prices you will pay a high price. (One fish,3 tiger prawns and a hand size crab 75 euro) also you should know local cooking style. We ende up with the usual fair that you can get in any chinese seafood restaurant on the planet. Best is you have a local accompany you to avoid such unhappiness. The taste and ambienture was mediocre nothing special to it. I am rather convinced you can spend a nicer seafood dinner elsewhere in Hong Kong.

Like Kayleen, I enjoyed the trip and the meal. Unlike Kayleen I was suffering from a sore ankle, so I found the walk a bit hard, though not that far - maybe 700m. Others in our group were also a bit dodgy on their pins so it would be good for the company to warn of that. Made harder by the guide giving us the impression all the time it was just round the corner, though in effect, at the end of the market! The quality of the food was very good, although I have had some better specialities in HK, and it was definitely portioned according to the number in the group, Good cruise, well organised, just do not expect a sandwich board or other announcement on the jetty, just wait for an amazing yellow and red boat of character to turn up!

Best seafood in Lei Yue Mun, Hongkong's seafood region. The restaurant has its own seafood outlet called "Ming Yuit Fresh Seafood". The seafood is very fresh. The cooking is excellent. The steam fish is perfect, not a second over cooked. The prawn and abalone are also excellent.

My brother and I went to this restaurant as part of a seafood dinner and cruise on the harbour by Watertours company. The cruise was a 1/2 hour to get to dinner which gave you a chance to view Hong Kong harbour in the early evening and you had a voucher for a drink/nibbles. By the time we docked to alight the boat for dinner we were a party of 4 for dinner plus the guide and they came from Adelaide as well as us. You had a about a 10 minute walk around the harbour through the fish markets to get to the restaurant for dinner. The fish market had a large variety of live fresh fish from both local and overseas sources. Dinner comprised of 8 courses and the food was very and the quantity was more than adequate for 4 people they supplied. Staff could not speak much English so the guide helped to order drinks before he left us to enjoy dinner. A very good experience to see how the locals live.

The return journey in the evening you had a chance to view Hong Kong lights on Kowloon and Hong Kong island sides.

All round the dinner and cruise was very good and they very punctual.
