I stayed in this Hotel for 10 days a year ago, and I can only remember how happy I was that I didn't have to stay here for a whole two weeks like some of my coleagues did. China was a rollercoster of emotions, loving some parts of it (the great wall of China was an unforgetable experience) and hating others...
I had a good 4 days off in Nanjing staying in this place, when I believe it had recently opened. It really was in middle of nowhere, and the service was terrible. The only entertainment we could have in this place was playing "ping pong" in a room which they kept under lock and key, and which they didn't make easy for us to even use! We asked for the key for it once and they tried to claim that there was no ping pong room (even though we had been playing for hours there the day before) when we told them we had been using it in the past, they then proceeded to run arround for ages trying to get hold of the key.
I had a good time in Nanjing City Centre, and enjoyed eating at the Blue Marlin with live music in the background, but that was a taxi ride away, and in this town (unlike in Shanghai) a taxi ride could be the last ride of your life, as a few of our work mates found out in a couple of occassions. If you have to visit Nanjing, stay somewhere in town, it won't be worse than this place, and you'll have a much better time.
